Yesterdays sermon was quiet teloscopic and i will like to go microscopically to study John 10:7. I hope you are doing well as you read this study and be blessed by it. Take you pen, paper and draft and write down things that you speaks to you.

John 10:7
Then Jesus said to them again, most assuredly, I say to you I am the door (gate) of the sheep.
The meaning of the above statement can be mystical. If then, what was Jesus trying to make the people understand?
We must know that, during the time of Jesus, a sheep fold or a pen didn't have a door gate and as such it was always open. There was an opening in which the sheep can always enter into the pen. During those times, shepherds slept at the entrance of their pen to protect their flock. The shepherd then became the door to the pen. And as a matter of fact, the gate keeper. Nothing can enter the pen without going through the gate keeper(Jesus)
I know of two brothers who attended school in the village of Wenchi. They were actually twins but one was feeble and the other was muscular. Due to the presence of the muscular twin, no one dared to bully the skinny one. The skinny one thought he was good enough to protect himself and didnt know that the protection came from the muscular one. One day, the Muscular twin got fell sick and was absent from school. Lo and behold, the bullies saw their prey and messed with the skinny guy
So all that he is saying to us is that my sheep are always safe, completely protected from any danger because they are kept close under my watchful eyes of a mighty savior. And since I am just at the entrance of the pen or sheepfold, nothing, not even the muffled bleat of one of my own, can escape my ears, also nothing evil outside the pen can enter and touch my sheep without first coming through me for I am the door of my sheep.
So when the fight of life comes knocking on your door and when panic threatens to rise within you see yourself double protected. He is both the good shepherd and the door of the sleep. As a good shepherd he gave his life to redeem you from poverty, sickness, diseases and every other curse like
As your door, he prevents everything evil from entering. Because he shed his blood for you, you are covered and protected within the sheep fold by the blood-stained door. Disaster, death destruction must pass over you and your family because of his blood on your door.
Today, you can live a trouble-free life because Jesus your good shepherd and door protects and preserves you and your family. No evil will befall you or your loved ones because he is your dwelling place, refuge and fortress.
Psalm 91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Today if Jesus is your good shepherd He will lead you to greener pastures and the still waters. It does not matter what the economy looks like because his stores of supply to which you are connected will never dry up.
Be Blessed Parishoners. God is with us all. Have a wonderful day.
