The month of May is always a special month for myself and my family. It isn't my birth month, but I won't forget in a hurry how the help of God readily located my life an my family. The testimonies may never be exhausted in a day, however, I will keep on sharing till it encourages that person who's feeling like giving up on God.
I'm reminded of the wordings of the 46th Psalm which became a song for me:
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
I have seen God's help very many times in my life and each time, He is always early and apt. He's never late though the timings of man may speak otherwise. I have seen God step into the very hopeless situation and brightened my hope.
This time, it was about my schooling. I discovered that each time I wanted starting a new level of education, it seemed that it was always almost impossible. I had always received these consoling words from my parent "even if you don't move with your mates, it doesn't make you less of who you are". I accepted those words each time, but God didn't say that. He showed up and made my hope alive again.
It was on the 19th of May, about 15 years ago that God sent a destiny helper to me and my family to sponsor my academics throughout the tertiary level. Many times, I can't just explained how it all happened. God orchestrated the events for my sake and in each time proved my parents wrong that they saw an end when God was seeing a beginning.
The above Psalm says "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early." God never arrives late to a situation. Remember Abraham at 100 years and Sarah at 90? Their age didn't matter though it meant an end in the eyes and calculations of men, yet, in the hopeless state, God showed up.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Do not fret and be afraid. He will not leave you to rot. Though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; God remains and Hos loving kindness is new everday.
He is thinking of us and will help us - Amen
