Hoy me uno a esta hermosa iniciativa creada por nuestros amigos de Home Solutions, titulada: Navidad en el hogar: Decoraciones que cuentan historias, en donde contaremos y mostraremos todo acerca de la decoración navideña de nuestro hogar en este 2025. Me gustaría invitar a mis amigas 
Bueno, antes de comenzar a mostrar mis decoraciones bastante sencillas, les comento que este año llegó a mi hogar un nuevo habitante, y se trata de un pequeñito que fue rescatado iniciando el año, justo en la primera semana del mes de enero, y estaba metido en una caja que dejaron abandonada en la acera de una urbanización de El Tigre.
Nuestro amiguito tenía escasamente un mes de nacido, y estaba en muy mal estado de salud tanto interna como externa, según el diagnóstico del veterinario. Después de semanas tratando de salvarlo, y apoyando a una de las rescatistas en el proceso, decidí adoptarlo, y ahorita forma parte de mi manada peluda, pero jamás imaginé que rompería con los esquemas de gatitos tranquilos que respetaban mis adornos.
Durante el año me demostró no ser ese prototipo de michi tranquilo, dormilón, comelón, y relajado… por el contrario, siento que tiene algunos genes de la familia Tazmania, porque no me ha dado mucho chance a recuperarme de sus travesuras, por esa razón, la decoración navideña de este año tomó un giro de 360º, quizás más, ya que en las partes bajas de la casa simplemente no pude colocar nada, y puse el arbolito bajo ciertas condiciones que aun así, no han sido totalmente valiosas.
Resalto que el arbolito es mi decoración favorita y me caracterizaba por planificar cada año un arreglo diferente. Como pueden ver en las imágenes, sólo decoré los marcos de las puertas en la parte superior, puse los adornos de mesa en algunas partes altas de la casa, afuera no decoré porque este año fue imposible pintar y no me gustó hacerlo así, sólo me concentré en la parte interior. El pesebre no lo he colocado aún, tengo pensado ponerlo el propio 24 en el día, pero de manera sencilla. No sé dónde, pero ya se me ocurrirá un sitio más o menos seguro.
Para colocar el arbolito casi fijé la base con algo pesado, y puse un sujetador en la pared. Ese proceso se los muestro en otro post porque es muy detallado. Las luces las sujeté con puntos de teipe, y lo más internamente posible del árbol para que no quedaran tan expuestas. Y finalmente, la decoración fue sin guirnaldas, ni cadenitas, ni moños, ni cintas, ni mucho menos pelotas y adornos pequeños que se pudieran partir. Sólo puse botas de tela, y muñecos de tela, que no tienen idea de las veces que han amanecido tirados por el piso.
Les construí con cajas de cartón, una casita bastante pintoresca y llena de juguetes que adoran, pero aun así, a veces se dedican a explorar el gran árbol para derribar a sus habitantes. ¿Por qué hablo en plural? Porque les cuento que los que eran tranquilos, ahora se sumaron a las travesuras del más pequeño, y arman un bochinche alrededor de mi pobre árbol que siento que me grita pidiendo auxilio… estoy dudando que llegue completo al 2026, jajajajaja.
Finalmente hice un centro de mesa con adornos reciclados, al que le cambio las velitas según el ritual navideño, por ejemplo, ayer celebramos el espíritu de la navidad, y le coloqué dos velitas blancas decoradas para recibirlo. Cabe destacar que este adorno sólo se encuentra en la mesa cuando mis cuatro terremotos están jugando en el traspatio, al entrar, todo se retira y se guarda hasta el día siguiente. Es la única manera de que sobreviva esta coronita.

Well, before I start showing you my rather simple decorations, I want to tell you that a new resident joined my home this year. It's a little one who was rescued at the beginning of the year, right in the first week of January. He was inside a box that had been abandoned on the sidewalk in a housing development in El Tigre.
Our little friend was barely a month old and in very poor health, both internally and externally, according to the vet's diagnosis. After weeks of trying to save him and supporting one of the rescuers in the process, I decided to adopt him, and now he's part of my furry pack. But I never imagined he'd shatter my image of calm, peaceful kittens who respected my decorations.
Throughout the year, he proved to be anything but that typical calm, sleepy, gluttonous, and relaxed kitty… on the contrary, I feel like he has some Tasmanian genes, because he hasn't given me much of a chance to recover from his mischief. For that reason, this year's Christmas decorations took a complete 360-degree turn, maybe even more, since I simply couldn't put anything up in the lower parts of the house, and I put up the tree under certain conditions that, even so, haven't been entirely successful.
I should mention that the Christmas tree is my favorite decoration, and I used to plan a different arrangement every year. As you can see in the pictures, I only decorated the door frames at the top. I placed table decorations in some high places around the house. I didn't decorate outside because it was impossible to paint this year, and I didn't like doing it that way; I just focused on the interior. I haven't put up the nativity scene yet. I plan to put it up on the 24th during the day, but simply. I don't know where yet, but I'll think of a relatively safe spot.
To hang the little tree, I practically secured the base with something heavy and put a bracket on the wall. I'll show you that process in another post because it's very detailed. I attached the lights with strips of tape, as far inside the tree as possible so they wouldn't be so exposed. And finally, the decorations were without garlands, chains, bows, ribbons, or much less balls and small ornaments that could break. I only used fabric boots and fabric dolls, which you have no idea how many times they've ended up lying on the floor in the morning.
I built them a rather quaint little house out of cardboard boxes, filled with toys they adore, but even so, sometimes they explore the big tree, trying to knock down its inhabitants. Why do I say "them"? Because, let me tell you, the ones who were quiet have now joined in the youngest's mischief, and they make such a racket around my poor tree that I feel it's screaming for help… I'm doubting it will make it to 2026 in one piece, hahaha.
Finally, I made a centerpiece with recycled decorations, and I change the candles according to the Christmas ritual. For example, yesterday we celebrated the spirit of Christmas, and I placed two decorated white candles on it to welcome it. It's worth noting that this decoration is only on the table when my four little terrors are playing in the backyard. When they go inside, everything is taken down and put away until the next day. It's the only way this little wreath will survive.
