Greetings community, today I'm back to share a repair to the house roof that I've been needing for a long time. The roof has an aluminum coating, and replacing it completely is very expensive. The leaks during the past rainy season were numerous, especially in the room where my wife and I sleep, with four leaks falling exactly on our bed, which interrupted our sleep many nights.

saludos comunidad, hoy vuelvo para compartir una reparación al techo de la casa que llevo necesitando desde hace mucho. El techo tiene manto aluminizado y reemplazarlo por completo es muy costoso. Las filtraciones en la pasada temporada de lluvias eran muchas, en especial en la habitación donde mi esposa y yo dormimos, cayendo 4 goteras exactamente sobre nuestra cama, lo que interrumpió nuestro sueño muchas noches.
The rainy season in my country usually runs from May to November, so I was very attentive to do the roof repair, gathering the money to be able to do it. However, the rains came early on the exact day that I bought the materials, so I had to wait four days until we finally had a radiant sun again today, which is necessary for the material I apply to dry properly.
La temporada de lluvias en mi pais usualmente es desde el mes de mayo a mes de noviembre, por lo tanto estaba muy atento para hacer la reparación del manto, reuniendo el dinero para poder hacerlo, pero se adelantaron las lluvias el dÃa exacto en el que compre los materiales, por lo tanto tuve que esperar 4 dias hasta que finalmente el dÃa de hoy volvimos a tener un sol radiante, lo cual es necesario para que el material que aplique seque bien.
I decided to apply an elastomeric resin, which has the ability to maintain a flexible yet resistant film, so it doesn't crack under the incidence of sunlight. This characteristic allows it to have high resistance against environmental factors. Furthermore, it is very versatile because it can be applied easily to any surface, which is ideal because I don't have to remove the existing coating, since the aluminum top doesn't allow anything to adhere well.
Me decidà por colocar una resina elastomérica, que tiene la capacidad de mantener una pelÃcula flexible y a la vez resistente, para no resquebrajarse con la incidencia de los rayos del sol. Esta caracterÃstica le permite tener una alta resistencia contra los factores ambientales, además, es muy versátil porque se puede aplicar tranquilamente en cualquier superficie, lo cual es ideal, porque no tengo que retirar el manto, ya que la parte superior al ser de aluminio no permite que cualquier cosa se adhiera bien.
I bought the one-gallon or 3.79-liter container, which covers 161 square feet according to the application method and the porosity of the surface where you apply it. In my case, being a smooth surface, it went a very long way. It can be applied with a brush, roller, or squeegee, and the recommendation is to apply one coat in one direction, let it dry for 4 to 6 hours, verify that it is completely dry, and apply another coat this time in the opposite direction to the first, to ensure better sealing.
Compre la presentación de galón o 3.79 litros, este rinde para 15 metros cuadrados, según el método de aplicación y la porosidad de la superficie donde lo apliques, en mi caso al ser lisa me rindió muchÃsimo. Se puede aplicar con brocha, rodillo o haragan, y la recomendación es aplicar una mano en un sentido dejar secar de 4 a 6 horas, verificar que está totalmente seca y aplicar otra manos pero esta vez en sentido contrario a la primera, para garantizar un mejor sellamiento.
The largest area where I applied it was about 2 square meters (approximately 21.5 square feet). I did it early at 7 in the morning to let it dry for 6 hours. After that time, it feels quite firm to the touch but also somewhat flexible, so I applied the second coat, and at the time of writing this post, it is already quite dry. Thank God it didn't rain today; I had very bright sun, there were no clouds. Now all that's left is to wait for rain again and see how well it works to fix the leaks.
La zona más grande donde lo aplique fue de unos 2 metros cuadrados, lo hice tempranos a las 7 de la mañana, para dejarlo secar 6 horas. Pasado el tiempo se siente bastante firme al tacto pero también algo flexible, asà que aplique la segunda mano y al momento de escribir esta publicación ya está bastante seca. Gracias a Dios no llovió hoy, tuve el sol muy resplandeciente, no hubo nubes, solo queda esperar nuevamente una lluvia y saber que tan bueno es para corregir filtraciones.
