I declare myself a compulsive cleaner! 😊 And it's not about making everything shine, but I do like to feel that all the places in my house feel clean and that I know they are. These days, what started as a routine load of laundry ended up with cleaning the bathroom, wiping the counters, organizing the fridge, and even giving water to my neighbor's plants 😆. I do all that in one morning because, thank God, my home is small and not very decorated, just the essentials. I don't keep anything I'm not using 😉. However, when I clean, I feel something is missing; yes, it's true, the house looks clean, organized, everything in its place, but it has no scent. No matter how much disinfectant I use, I put tablets in the toilets, soak the kitchen cloths in bleach or vinegar; there is no pleasant smell! Mind you, it doesn't smell bad, I'm just talking about that perfume or nice aroma. Do you understand what I'm talking about?
My concern lies in how I have not installed the hood in my kitchen; it smells more like stewed meat, the burnt arepa, or the soup I make and not like pleasant odors, other than food.
I have opted for the air freshener option, and here I show you the ones I have tried.
Absorbent sticks
The closest thing to them that I had used are incense sticks; the problem is that, with my mother's rhinitis, we keep smoke out of our home.
Now, this was a gift that was given to us, and it seemed novel.
For its use, you just remove the safety seal from the container and insert the sticks into the liquid. Immediately, the scent begins to diffuse.
I don't know if it is because my home is spacious, a single room without divisions, but the scent doesn't linger. I place it one day, and by the third day, there is no scent.
I don't know if they sell it by brand or some long-lasting ones, and also if the oil can be refilled or if it ends and is discarded.
They are good, but the scent goes away quickly.
Varillas absorbentes

Son buenos, pero el olor se va rápido.
Humidifier
I would be lying if I told you that I am trendy, but I have seen them so much in the stores I visit and even a friend has one at her house that smells really nice, that I decided to get one.
The instructions say to put the oil in half of the container and fill it with water so that it doesn't get clogged due to the thickness of the liquid.
Results?
The smell can be felt if you are close to the device; from afar, no. Again, I don't know if it's because it was a low-quality oil or if the scent simply does not reach. For this, I should buy a good oil, but for now the goals have not been achieved.
Humidificador
Les mentiría si les digo que soy de tendencias, pero los he visto tanto en las tiendas que visito y hasta una amiga tiene en su casa que huele muy rico, que me decidí por uno.
Las instrucciones dicen que se coloca el aceite en la mitad del envase y se completa con agua para que no se tape por lo espeso del líquido.
¿Resultados?
El olor se siente si estás cerca del aparato; de lejos, no. Nuevamente, no sé si es porque era un aceite de baja calidad o definitivamente el olor no llega. Este sí debo comprar un buen aceite, pero por ahora no se han logrado los objetivos.
Glade Air Freshener

Seriously speaking, if I am near the air freshener, every time it sprays (because it is programmed), you can smell it, but it doesn't reach anywhere else.
In my defense, I have also used it in a closed room all day and nothing, there is no strong clean and pleasant smell that it should emit. The only thing is that, due to its design, it catches the attention of people who come to the house, but there is no olfactory impact as I would like.
I have also bought air fresheners from this brand, the ones that plug into the outlet and the ones that are placed in bathrooms, but the first one doesn’t smell either, and the second one, I haven’t found it in stores anymore; I think they discontinued it.
Ambientador Glade
Ha sido mi aliado en asuntos de aromatizar mi casa, pero creo que la del problema soy yo porque no siento nada 🤣.
Hablando en serio, si estoy cerca del ambientador, cada vez que suelta el spray (porque viene programado), se siente el olor, pero de allí no llega a ningún lado.
En mi defensa, también lo he usado en el cuarto cerrado todo el día y que va, no hay olor fuerte de limpio y sabroso que debería destilar. Lo único que, por su diseño, a las personas que vienen a casa les llama la atención, pero no hay impacto olfativo como quisiera.
También los he comprado de esta marca, de los que se colocan en el enchufe y del que se coloca en los baños, pero el primero tampoco huele y el segundo, no lo he encontrado más en las tiendas; creo que lo descontinuaron.
