Debo aceptar que haciendo la portada, con la fotografía del antes y después digo, ¡GUAO! Qué cambio ha dado mi jardín posterior a la colocación del techo.
Para diciembre del 2024 pinté la puerta de seguridad de la entrada y me quedó 💯. Estaba claro que, parte del desgaste que sufrió la puerta era producto del sol, polvo y lluvia a la cual estaba expuesta. Por este motivo, tenía claro que si quiero conservar la puerta por muchos, pero muchos años más, debo protegerlas de la acción de la naturaleza.
La solución es poner un techo que cubra esa área, además, me ayudaría a cubrir un carro ¡Manifestando! O mi ropa cuando la tiendo afuera y no quiero que huela a sol (sí, el olor a sol existe 🤣).
I have to admit that looking at the cover, with the before and after photos, I say, WOW! What a change my backyard has gone through after installing the roof. By December 2024, I painted the security door at the entrance and it turned out 💯. It was clear that part of the wear the door suffered was due to the sun, dust, and rain it was exposed to. For this reason, I knew that if I want to keep the door for many, many more years, I need to protect it from the elements. The solution is to put a roof covering that area, and it would also help me cover a car—Manifesting! Or my clothes when I hang them outside and I don’t want them to smell like sun (yes, sun smell exists 🤣).
Proceso
El área a cubrir es de 9 metros cuadrados; para el trabajo necesitamos:
🏡 Tubos 2*1. Ellos vienen de 6 metros, así que compré 4 por lo siguiente: 6 tubos horizontales de un poco más de 3 metros cuando lo picaran y un tubo de soporte de 3 metros de manera vertical. Me sobró aproximadamente 2 metros.
🏡 Las láminas de zinc, que fueron unas 8 láminas*.
🏡 Amarres. Existen dos tipos. Yo compré los económicos.
🏡 1 cabilla y 1 kilo de varillas de soldadura para fijarlos a la pared.
Hasta este momento ¡Todo marchaba de maravilla! PERO (el bendito pero), se presentó un problema con mi electricidad.

Resulta que tenía cable sobre cables en el tablero, es decir, ¡Un completo desastre! Incluso, estaba convertido en un riesgo eléctrico por trabajos anteriores.
Allí la cuestión cambiaba y teníamos primero que resolver ese problema para poder avanzar con el techo.

Seguimos el proceso
Luego de este trabajo imprevisto, se pusieron manos a la obra con colocar el techo. El proceso fue muy rápido, solo un día tomó instalarlo por varios factores:
Primero, porque mi hermano ya tiene experiencia colocando este techo, incluso, la semana anterior había colocado el suyo. Segundo, porque tenía todos los materiales a la mano; y tercero, porque mi J. J. también aprende muy rápido y trabaja de manera ágil, así que todo lo que le decía mi hermano, él lo hacía con velocidad y eficiencia. La anécdota es que al final, terminó mi J. J. haciendo todo y mi hermano solo viendo 🤣.
We continued with the process. After this unexpected job, they got to work installing the roof. The process was very quick, taking just one day to complete for several reasons: First, because my brother already has experience installing this type of roof; in fact, just the week before he had installed his own. Second, because he had all the materials on hand; and third, because my J. J. also learns very quickly and works efficiently, so everything my brother told him to do, he did with speed and skill. The funny thing is that in the end, J. J. ended up doing everything while my brother just watched 🤣.
Por mi parte, más allá de las fotografías, me encargué de hidratarlos, alimentarlos y estar pendiente de ordenar el material que iban usando para poder terminar rápido.

Algunas consideraciones:
🏡 Los imprevistos siempre van a surgir, y créanme que va a ser la constante en esta compilación de arreglos; sin embargo, no debemos perder el norte e ir un paso adelante sobre la adversidad. Me ha servido siempre si me piden algún material, tener el doble disponible porque siempre falta. Igual con el dinero, por si surge alguna compra extra como me ocurrió con la electricidad.
🏡 Hacerlo siempre con especialistas. Por ejemplo, mi hermano es experto en electricidad y mantenimiento del hogar (no es porque sea mi hermano). Además, le gusta trabajar con el detalle y no que se vean las cosas feas o "hechas por hacer". Quizás costará un poco más, pero el resultado es de calidad, por lo que vale la pena cada centavo.
🏡 Yo entiendo que los materiales están costosos y tenemos siempre la disyuntiva: o comemos o hacemos estas cosas. Mi recomendación es buscar opciones, como por ejemplo ahorita es Cashea con sus compras a crédito, averiguar en varias tiendas, si no se puede comprar todo a la vez, ir comprando poco a poco, pero no perder el norte de tener todo el material para hacer el trabajo.
🏡 Con respecto a las láminas, las obtuve con una institución del municipio que se llama INMUVI. Ellos proveen todo el material de construcción al costo y a crédito; adicionalmente, los requisitos no son muchos. A mí me ha funcionado y me he beneficiado de muchos de sus productos. Pueden acercarse y preguntar por sus requerimientos.
🏡 Nosotros previamente pintamos los tubos con pintura en aceite, pero no pintamos las láminas porque no teníamos la pistola. Se hubiese visto más bonita y elegante, pero creo que en un futuro, cambiaré las láminas por otro material o las mismas, pero esta vez, pintadas 😉.
Some considerations: 🏡 Unforeseen events are always going to arise, and believe me that it will be the constant in this compilation of arrangements; however, we must not lose our way and go one step ahead over adversity. It has always helped me if they ask me for some material, to have twice as much available because there is always a lack. The same with money, in case an extra purchase arises as happened to me with electricity. 🏡 Always do it with specialists. For example, my brother is an expert in electricity and home maintenance (not because he's my brother). In addition, she likes to work with detail and not to make things look ugly or "undone". Perhaps it will cost a little more, but the result is quality, so it is worth every penny.
🏡 I understand that materials are expensive, and we always face the dilemma: either we eat or we do these things. My recommendation is to look for options, such as Cashea with its credit purchases, check several stores, and if it’s not possible to buy everything at once, buy little by little, but don’t lose sight of having all the materials to get the job done. 🏡 Regarding the sheets, I got them from a municipal institution called INMUVI. They provide all construction materials at cost and on credit; additionally, the requirements are not many. It has worked for me, and I have benefited from many of their products. You can approach them and ask about their requirements. 🏡 We previously painted the pipes with oil paint but did not paint the sheets because we didn’t have the spray gun.
