Among the many things we need at home 🏡, buying a new bed was a priority. More than the bed itself, it was because we needed a new mattress, even though the old one wasn't old.

The thing is, the bed we had was made of iron but worked fine, although it wasn't ours. What was killing me was the mattress, haha. We only bought it 5 years ago, but it was a rip-off. At the time, we were desperate because my husband bought whatever he could find, with whatever money he had available.

The springs were digging into my back. I woke up every day with body aches. I had to put down extra pads, pillows, everything to try to make sleeping more bearable. It was terrible. The truth is, the situation was getting increasingly uncomfortable, so I told my husband, "No more of this problem.".

With a payment he received a few days ago for his work, we managed to go to the town center looking for options, more for mattresses than beds. All the shops had the same models; the prices varied, of course. Anyway, we ended up at the last shop, run by a Turkish man, who offered us good prices for a double-padded orthopedic mattress and the bed frame.

The bed isn't exactly my favorite, but there isn't much variety in our town, paying for transport elsewhere is more expensive, and we didn't have the option of having one custom-made, so we had no choice. However, they did give us some recommendations to make it last longer. The mattress, though, is fantastic; it's worth every penny—it's a lot, hehe. It cost us $280, which was a bit of a financial blow, but it was totally worth it.

We don't have much space in the bedroom, so we bought a double bed. I like the headboard; it's not as flashy as some others we had, so I chose the most discreet one with a chain stitch pattern. I like its gray color 🩶.

The mattress is wonderful. It's comfortable, soft, perfect. We even had to buy a new set of sheets because the ones we had didn't fit the new mattress.

I can't even describe how I feel because it shows on my face. Even though I haven't been feeling well lately, sleeping on a good mattress is priceless. It's totally worth the effort. I know it was quite an expense, but if it weren't for that, we wouldn't have bought anything. Besides, the most important thing is our family's well-being, having our own things, because when we move, sooner or later, we're going to take our own things with us, considering the old bed belongs to my mom, so we had to return it. In these times when everything is so expensive in our country, it's best to take advantage of opportunities to improve our well-being; if we overthink it, we won't do anything.

Entre tantas cosas que hacen falta en casa 🏡, era una prioridad comprar una cama nueva, más que por la cama en sí, es porque necesitábamos un colchón nuevo, a pesar de que el anterior no estaba viejo.

La cuestión es que la cama que teníamos era de hierro pero funcionada bien, aunque no era propia, lo que me estaba matando era el colchón, Jejeje, solo tenía 5 años de que lo compramos pero fue una estafa, en ese momento por la necesidad, porque esposo compro lo que consiguió en ese momento, contando lo que tenía disponible de dinero.

Los resortes se me estaban clavando en la espalda, me despertaba todos los días con dolores en el cuerpo, tenía que colocar acolchados, almohadas, todo para tratar de hacer el descanso más llevadero, era terrible. La verdad es que la situación estaba cada vez más incómoda, le dije a mi esposo no más con éste problema.

Con un pago que recibió hace unos días por su trabajo, logramos ir al centro del pueblo buscando opciones, más que de camas, colchones. Todos los negocios tenían los mismos modelos, variaban los precios, eso sí. El caso es que nos quedamos en el último local de un Turko que nos ofreció buenos precios por llevar un colchón doble acolchado ortopedico, más la cama.

La cama no es la que me encanta, pero en nuestro municipio no existe mucha variedad, pagar transporte en otro lado es más costoso, no teníamos opcion para mandar a realizar al gusto, así que no había de otra, sin embargo nos dieron algunas recomendaciones para que nos dure más. El colchón si es un encanto, vale lo que pesa, es mucho, Jejeje. Nos costó 280$, fue un dolor a nivel del bolsillo, aún así, valió la pena totalmente.

En la habitación no tenemos mucho espacio por eso compramos una cama matrimonial. Me gusta el fondo o espaldar de la cama, no es tan llamativo como otras que habían, así que elegí la más discreta en forma de cadeneta, me gusta su color gris 🩶.

El colchón es una maravilla, es cómodo, suave, perfecto, incluso tuvimos que comprar un juego de sábanas nuevo porque la que teníamos no le servía al nuevo colchón.

No puedo describirles como me siento porque se me nota en el rostro, a pesar de que estos días no me he sentido bien, dormir en un buen colchón no tiene precio, el esfuerzo lo vale totalmente. Se que fue bastante el gasto pero sino es así no compramos nada, además lo más importante es nuestro bienestar familiar, tener nuestras cosas, porque cuando nos mudemos tarde o temprano, vamos a llevarnos lo propio, considerando que la cama anterior es de mi mamá, así que tocaba regresarla. En estos tiempos donde todo está tan costoso en nuestro país, lo mejor es aprovechar las oportunidades para aumentar en bienestar, si lo pensamos mucho no hacemos nada.
