Many people love to wander there, especially on Sundays, but I confess I've always found this place rather boring. The showrooms are beautiful, of course, but I usually get bored seeing ideas for beautiful homes that I could never afford and that even if I had the money I'd have to assemble myself. But now that we're moving house, we need some furniture, and there's plenty of it here at affordable prices (though I've noticed that prices have gone up lately, while the quality has remained the same), so my husband and I headed to the Ikea in Sesto Fiorentino. The first floor is dedicated to the restaurant, and the second to a long, interminable series of showrooms, a labyrinth divided into sections, showcasing the types of rooms you can create with Ikea products, complete with pieces, suggestions, and ideas.

A mucha gente le encanta pasearse por allí, sobre todo los domingos, pero confieso que siempre me ha parecido bastante aburrido. Las salas de exposición son preciosas, claro, pero me suelo aburrir viendo ideas de casas preciosas que nunca podría permitirme y que, incluso si tuviera dinero, tendría que montar yo misma. Pero ahora que nos mudamos, necesitamos muebles, y aquí hay muchísimos a precios asequibles (aunque he notado que últimamente los precios han subido, mientras que la calidad se mantiene), así que mi marido y yo fuimos a Ikea en Sesto Fiorentino. La primera planta está dedicada al restaurante y la segunda a una larga e interminable serie de showrooms, un laberinto dividido en secciones, que muestra los tipos de ambientes que se pueden crear con los productos de Ikea, con piezas, sugerencias e ideas.

Then we looked at entire types of homes with large and small living rooms, dining areas, kitchens, bedrooms, etc. I admit, the rooms on display are all very beautiful to look at, and there are various styles, all quite modern and simple. It really does make you want to see dream homes and rooms. Some living rooms made you want to lie down on the sofa. After a long tour, where we were able to compare prices and other items, we went downstairs, where they sell mostly accessories. However, we didn't find anything we liked; everything seemed very expensive and low-quality. We left IKEA with only a couple of trays and some saucers. I don't think we'll go back, and we'll look for other options to furnish our home.
Primero, vimos varios dormitorios, todos preciosos, sin duda, pero carísimos. Lo más barato fueron las mosquiteras. Luego vimos casas enteras con salones grandes y pequeños, comedores, cocinas, dormitorios, etc. Reconozco que las habitaciones expuestas son todas muy bonitas, y hay varios estilos, todos bastante modernos y sencillos. Realmente dan ganas de ver casas y habitaciones de ensueño. Algunos salones daban ganas de tumbarse en el sofá. Tras un largo recorrido, donde pudimos comparar precios y otros artículos, bajamos, donde venden sobre todo accesorios. Sin embargo, no encontramos nada que nos gustara; todo parecía muy caro y de baja calidad. Salimos de IKEA solo con un par de bandejas y unos platos. No creo que volvamos y buscaremos otras opciones para amueblar nuestra casa.
