Mezcla para curar paredes (Esp/Ing)

En días pasados compartí la remodelación de la sala de nuestra casa, la pintamos toda de blanco, lo que requirió cierto trabajo porque las paredes eran amarillas, con un tono muy intenso, y además mostraban síntomas de humedad.

En tal sentido, hoy les daré la receta que usamos para preparar las paredes antes de pintar, esta fórmula es muy efectiva para tratar problemas de filtración o de acidez, lo que impide que la pintura nueva se adhiera correctamente y perdure más tiempo. La amiga Hive account@rlathulerie mostró interés en ella y quise compartirla para que la use cuando necesite hacer un arreglo de este tipo.

Materiales e implementos:

• 5 pencas de sábila grandes
• 1/2 paquete de sal de uso común
• 1/4 de saco de cal
• Agua
• Cuñete
• Cuchillo
• Mezclador
• Cernidor

Materials and implements:

• 5 large aloe stalks
• 1/2 package of common salt
• 1/4 sack of lime
• Water
• Spoon
• Knife
• Mixer
• Sifter

Preparación:

• En un cuñete se coloca el agua, se llena 3/4 para dejar espacio para mezclar sin que se derrame.

• Se agrega la cal y la sal.

• Se procede a extraer los cristales de las pencas de sábila, se trituran con la mano sobre la mezcla y luego se sueltan dentro del cuñete.

• Luego hay que batir hasta alcanzar una mezcla homogénea, acá hay que cerciorarse que sea de color blanco puro ya que existe una cal que se torna amarillenta y representaría un problema porque va a interferir en el cubrimiento de la pintura que se le colocará arriba.

• La mezcla se deja reposar con su tapa durante al menos tres días, revolviendo muy bien cada doce horas para mejorar su efectividad.

• Una vez que transcurra el tiempo, se cuela para eliminar los cristales y otras impurezas. Se debe tener cuidado con la manipulación pues la cal y la sal suelen irritar al contacto con las manos, ojos, boca y otras partes del cuerpo.

-Se pinta con brocha y en caso de requerir una segunda se debe esperar un día para que sequé muy bien.

Preparation:

• The mixture is left to rest with its cover for at least three days, stirring very well every twelve hours to improve its effectiveness.

• Once the time elapses, it is strained to eliminate the crystals and other impurities. Care must be taken with the manipulation because the lime and the salt tend to irritate when in contact with the hands, eyes, mouth and other parts of the body.

-It is painted with a brush and in case of requiring a second one, it is necessary to wait a day for it to dry very well.
