Saludos amigos de Home Solutions, espero que estén muy bien con un hogar hermoso lleno de paz y felicidad. Hace mucho tiempo que no pasaba por esta comunidad y no es que no tuviera un hogar 😅, simplemente no tenía nada interesante para contar; sin embargo, eso cambió en los últimos días donde decidí hacer un cambio positivo y mover las energías de renovación en la casa.
Si me sigues, sabrás que vivo en la casa de mi abuela, y si no me sigues, ¿qué esperas para hacerlo? 🤣. En la casa de mi abuela teníamos un juego de recibo de madera y cuero, muy bonito que compró ella hace varias décadas para ser específica 40 años, pero su vida útil terminó, y el año pasado una prima que vive en Chile nos hizo llegar un regalo, que trataba de unos muebles de segunda mano, como ella los compró por distancia no pudo percatarse la condición real de los muebles y aunque no sé cuanto pagó por ellos, estos no estaban aptos para su uso. A simple vista se veían bonitos, pero su gomaespuma donde uno se sienta no sirve y uno cae en las profundidades del océano, causando dolor de espalda, caderas, rodillas y pare de contar.

Greetings friends of Home Solutions, I hope you are doing great with a beautiful home full of peace and happiness. It's been a long time since I stopped by this community and it's not that I didn't have a home 😅, I just didn't have anything interesting to tell; however, that changed in the last few days where I decided to make a positive change and move the renovation energies in the house.
If you follow me, you'll know that I live in my grandmother's house, and if you don't follow me, what are you waiting for? 🤣. In my grandmother's house we had a wood and leather receipt set, very nice that she bought several decades ago to be specific 40 years ago, but its useful life ended, and last year a cousin who lives in Chile sent us a gift, which was about some second hand furniture, as she bought it from a distance she could not notice the real condition of the furniture and although I don't know how much she paid for it, these were not fit for use. At first glance they looked nice, but their foam rubber where one sits is useless and one falls into the depths of the ocean, causing pain in the back, hips, knees and so on.
Al principio, cuando llegaron los muebles, nos sentimos muy felices, pero luego vino la decepción. Ya paso un año así que decidí tomar una decisión de arreglarlos, venderlos o regalarlos, para eso comencé a preguntar si tenían solución y el costo de tapizarlos, las primeras cotizaciones me hicieron dudar en repararlos, pues el costo se elevaba sobre los 300 $ dólares, muy por encima a lo que imaginaba y con asuntos más importantes que atender como la salud de miembros de mi familia, veía lejos la solución.
Seguí preguntando hasta que una vecina me recomendó a otro vecino que su mamá vive a dos cuadras y tiene un negocio de tapicería. Mi vecina le había comentado que necesitaba hablar con él, pero no venía a ver qué quería, y como la interesada era yo, fui a conversar con él. Ese mismo día vino a casa y observó los muebles de cerca, midió y los volteó, sacó sus cuentas y me dijo lo que pensaba.
At first, when the furniture arrived, we were very happy, but then came the disappointment. A year passed so I decided to make a decision to fix them, sell them or give them away, for that I began to ask if they had a solution and the cost of upholstering them, the first quotes made me hesitate to repair them, because the cost was over $300 dollars, far above what I imagined and with more important issues to attend to as the health of members of my family, I saw far away the solution.
I kept asking around until a neighbor recommended me to another neighbor whose mother lives two blocks away and has an upholstery business. My neighbor had told him that I needed to talk to him, but he didn't come to see what I wanted, and since I was the one interested, I went to talk to him. That same day he came home and took a close look at the furniture, measured and turned it over, did his math and told me what he thought.
A mi me gusta el modelo de los muebles, no son pequeños pero tampoco muy grandes, ademas su madera es bonita, le pedí que me dijera con sinceridad que le parecian los muebles, si valia la pena repararlos y aunque era obvia su respuesta, me dijo que los muebles modermos que estan saliendo en el pais son de mala calidad tanto de madera o los plásticos, la ventaja de los muebles antiguos es su material de mejor calidad y estos muebles se ven modernos. Con esto ya me habia convencido la mitad y termino de hacerlo cuando me dió el presupuesto.
Me dijo que las gomas y el relleno de mejor calidad estaba en 60$, la tela varia de precio según el modelo y calidad pero la más costosa estaba en 5$ el metro y los muebles llevaban 12 metros y su mano de obra costaba 50$, en total se invertirian unos 170 $ casi la mitad del precio de los otros. Al principio dude, el me dijo que yo misma podia comprar las gomas y por supuesto la tela. Esto me parecio bueno asi que hicismos un trato, primero le daria el dinero para las gomas y después compraria la tela, ademas tenia un comodín adicional no tenia que pagar flete para el traslado de los muebles ya que el mismo los venia a buscar y se los llevaba a dos cuadras 🤣.
I like the model of the furniture, they are not small but not too big, besides the wood is beautiful, I asked him to tell me honestly what he thought of the furniture, if it was worth repairing and although his answer was obvious, he told me that the modern furniture that are coming out in the country are of poor quality either wood or plastics, the advantage of antique furniture is its better quality material and this furniture looks modern. With this he had already convinced me half and finished when he gave me the budget.
He told me that the rubber bands and the best quality padding was at $60, the fabric varies in price depending on the model and quality but the most expensive was at $5 per meter and the furniture had 12 meters and its labor cost $50, in total about $170 would be invested, almost half the price of the others. At first I hesitated, he told me that I could buy the rubber bands and of course the fabric myself. This seemed good to me so we made a deal, first I would give him the money for the rubber bands and then I would buy the fabric, plus I had an additional wild card, I didn't have to pay freight for the transfer of the furniture since he would come to pick it up and take it two blocks away 🤣.
Lo más difícil era conseguir la tela, porque soy muy indecisa 🤭 el me recomendó la franquicia de telas el Castillo y acudí un dia con mi mamá que teníamos que hacer otras diligencia y aprovechamos, vimos las texturas, los colores y estampas solo dos nos pareció bonita y nos fuismos, me tocaría a mi sola decidirme cuando tenga el dinero.

The most difficult thing was to get the fabric, because I am very indecisive 🤭 he recommended me the fabric franchise El Castillo and I went one day with my mom that we had to do other errands and we took advantage, we saw the textures, colors and prints only two we found beautiful and we went, it would be up to me alone to decide when I have the money.
