Llegó el fin de semana y con él mis trabajos de reparaciones menores en mi hogar, lo que se convierte para mí en un estrés constante porque no es solo tener que buscar el dinero para comprar las piezas y los materiales, sino también la mano de obra calificada, que termina siendo para mí lo más difícil de encontrar.
En realidad, son muchos los trabajos que hay que hacer dentro de mi apartamento con el tema de la plomería y esto es una parte complicada para mí porque tener el piso mojado es algo que me inquieta muchísimo. Son varios trabajos, pero para iniciar a solucionarlos, debo resolver lo de la llave principal de agua de mi apartamento para poder trabajar en el sistema del baño.
Así que me fui a comprar la llave de paso, busqué la de mejor calidad que conseguí y al compararla con la que estaban cambiando, se notaba la diferencia. En las compras también incluí una junta Dres. Y un teflón, con eso se realizaría el trabajo y para ello se utilizó en su mayoría una llave de tubo, pero el trabajo no quedó ahí.

I also bought a gasket and some Teflon tape, which would be needed to do the job, and for that I mostly used a pipe wrench, but the work didn't end there.
Lo primero fue el tema de romper la pared y todo ese ruido que generó aquella pequeña demolición y más porque se tuvo que bien tarde, después que cerraran el agua en el urbanismo, me incomodaba la bulla, la situación y más porque le dije al constructor que viniera temprano e hiciera el trabajo de romper en una hora prudente y luego, viniera a cambiar la llave cuando ya no hubiese agua y bueno, no lo hizo así.
Así que con mucho sueño, tuve que esperar que el señor hiciera toda su bulla y me incomodaba porque si la bulla a mí me perturbaba me sentía mal por los demás vecinos y aunque lo notifiqué, igual me incomodaba, aparte del tierrero que se esparció por todo el edificio, pero en mi mente mi consuelo era de que iba a hacer un trabajo muy necesario y que con ese iba a poder resolver los que venían en cola.
Lo importante de todo era resolver eso y poder enfocarme en lo siguiente, el detalle es que este trabajo de la llave de paso de algún modo hay que hacerlo por partes y digo esto porque después que se hizo la instalación anoche, debíamos esperar en la mañana que colocaran el agua y ver si había alguna fuga y en efecto en la mañana si había y aunque no era muy grande, era necesario que no tuviera ninguna.

The important thing was to solve that and be able to focus on the next thing. The thing is, this work on the shut-off valve has to be done in stages, and I say this because after the installation was done last night, we had to wait until the morning for them to turn on the water and see if there were any leaks, and indeed, in the morning there was one, and even though it wasn't very big, it was necessary that there be none.
Así que llame al señor otra vez y el vino, la apretó y me dijo que iba a dejar un rato que el agua circulara y en el transcurso del día verificaría si seguía botando agua antes de sellar con cemento y si, en una de las conexiones de la llave se fuga una mínima gota y la idea es que eso quede sellado de una forma que con el tiempo y la presión del agua no se convierta en un problema.
El caso es que durante todo el día tuve el agua abierta, supe donde tenía la fuga de agua y me aguante ese sonido que me incomoda tanto del agua botándose en el baño y el albañil quedó de venir a apretar la llave o echarle teflón, lo que se requiriera y no vino, terminé teniendo que cerrar la llave para evitar el agua botándose, no lo llamé más, esperando que se desocupara y el hombre no vino, mañana saldrá con alguna excusa, por eso es que les digo que el mayor problema que he tenido es no contar con mano de obra calificada y personas responsables.
Aspiro que el día de mañana pueda continuar con el trabajo y ya terminarlo, porque mientras eso no quede bien, no puedo avanzar en las siguientes tareas y miren que son bastante, un día más de reparaciones menores incompletas, lidiando con personal no responsable, lo que me retrasa en lo que falta. Así vamos.

I ended up having to turn off the tap to stop the water dripping. I didn't call him again, hoping he would be free, but he didn't come. Tomorrow he'll come up with some excuse, which is why I'm telling you that the biggest problem I've had is not having skilled labor and responsible people.
I hope that tomorrow I can continue with the work and finish it, because until that is done properly, I can't move on to the next tasks, and there are quite a few of them. Another day of incomplete minor repairs, dealing with irresponsible staff, which delays me in what remains to be done. That's how it goes.
