Pintamos, ordenamos, y colocamos plantas en casa🌱

Este momento de mi vida se llama "felicidad".

Antes toda la casa estaba pintada en color naranja. Eso hace que la casa sea más oscura, también más calurosa.

Por lo que este año decidimos cambiar el color por blanco.

Aunque sí, estoy en contra de esa moda donde todo es blanco aesthetic, creo que pintar en ese color ayuda a que otros colores combinen entre sí, también a lograr que la casa sea más fresca. Sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que vivimos en Anzoátegui cerca de la costa.

Me encantan los tonos rojizos, cálidos como el naranja, y el verde. Con naranja en la pared nada combina, además de que todo se ve más cargado.

Por ahora aún falta por pintar (la cocina y las habitaciones, también el jardín donde suelo grabar vídeos de jardinería).

Oficialmente, ya terminamos la sala por completo. Tomó 2 días pintarla (raspando, esperando a que secara la pintura para poner otra capa) y arreglando todo en un día, para ser exactos, hoy.

Acabamos de terminar mi hermana y yo de hacer todo hace tan solo unas horas.

También es por ello que no he escrito en Hive, solo terminamos y me acuesto a dormir.

Y la verdad es justo lo que necesitaba la sala de la casa. Ahora se ve más amplia, y sin duda está más fresca.

Aprovechamos de botar lo que no tiene uso y no sirve, del mismo modo que seleccionamos todos los libros que se van a donar a principios de año nuevo.

Todo esto porque en nuestra época de estudiantes de la secundaria acumulamos un montón de libros. En ese entonces no había Internet en casa, y todo no era como ahora que buscas en la IA de inmediato, o consultas en Google.

Podías consultar en Google, por supuesto, pero no había Internet, e ingresar desde el teléfono era una tortura. Cargaba muy lento. Incluso papá compró un pendrive con Internet que solo usé una vez para ingresar en Google; se quedó sin datos y no lo usé más.

Así que nuestros padres compraron un montón de libros de texto. Todos ellos fueron muy útiles en su momento, y es hora de que otras personas les den uso.

Esa idea me alegra, porque sé que otras personas los hojearán, investigarán y aprenderán mucho. Quizás encuentren su vocación.

Cuando era adolescente mis favoritos eran los libros de historia y artística. Era maravilloso quedarme leyendo, o tratar de hacer replicas de pinturas que veía en ellos.

Los libros que se quedan en casa son los que tienen bastante uso. Los ordenamos y ahora está más bonito todo.

También cree un espacio para mí en la sala de la casa.

Honestamente, no tenía un espacio. Bueno, sí, pero era más reducido.

Solo estaba la PC, y al lado un estante con libros y un televisor que no servía.

Ahora hemos podido sacar todo eso y arreglar. Me he adueñado de esta esquina de ensueño y, la verdad, estoy enamorada de ella.

Coloqué la syngonium (sí, la planta con la que aparezco en la foto al final de cada uno de mis posts ha crecido y es hermosa), una mesa donde tengo el material de la tienda online y mi escritorio.

Todo está más ordenado, tanto que escribo esto mirando esa hermosa esquina que está justo a mi lado. Se siente bien voltear y mirar algo tuyo, algo que hiciste con tus manos, un espacio agradable.

Me siento en casa. De alguna forma, cada vez que veía a esa esquina, me sentía como en un lugar lejano a mí, porque no tenía nada que fuese mío, tampoco algo que tuviese mi toque personal.

Y a medida que tengo más edad, he descubierto mis gustos en decoración, que se basan en poner plantas en todas partes.

Así que en esta ocasión, como verás en las fotos, he colocado algunas en la sala. Antes solo estaban allí, resistiendo a ver a dónde iban a ser colocadas. Ahora tienen un lugar definitivo.

Todo gracias a que ordené y al fin todo tiene un lugar.

Mañana continuaremos con la cocina. No te garantizo que la termine en un día; probablemente me pase el 24 de diciembre pintando. Lo cual no es un problema para mí porque no hacemos mucho en casa en estos días.

Pero de lo que estoy segura es de que te escribiré del resultado en la cocina. Tengo pensadas algunas ideas interesantes para pintar.

This moment in my life is called "happiness."

Before, the whole house was painted orange. That made the house darker and hotter.

So this year we decided to change the color to white.

Although I'm against the trend where everything is white aesthetic, I think painting in that color helps other colors blend together and also makes the house feel cooler. Especially considering we live in Anzoátegui, near the coast.

I love reddish tones, warm colors like orange, and green. With orange on the wall, nothing matches, and everything looks cluttered.

For now, we still have to paint (the kitchen and the bedrooms, also the garden where I usually film gardening videos).

Officially, we've finished the living room completely. It took two days to paint it (scraping, waiting for the paint to dry before applying another coat) and tidying everything up took one day, to be exact, today.

My sister and I just finished everything a few hours ago.

That's also why I haven't posted on Hive; we just finished and I went to bed.

And honestly, it's exactly what the living room needed. Now it looks more spacious, and it's definitely cooler.

We took the opportunity to throw away things we didn't use or that weren't working, just like we selected all the books that will be donated at the beginning of the new year.

All this because during our high school years we accumulated a ton of books. Back then, there was no internet at home, and things weren't like they are now, where you can search on AI instantly or look things up on Google.

You could search on Google, of course, but there was no internet, and accessing it from your phone was torture. It loaded so slowly. Dad even bought a flash drive with internet that I only used once to access Google; it ran out of data and I never used it again.

So our parents bought a ton of textbooks. They were all very useful in their time, and it's time for other people to put them to use.

That idea makes me happy because I know other people will browse through them, research them, and learn a lot. Perhaps they'll even discover their calling.

When I was a teenager, my favorites were history and art books. It was wonderful to stay up reading them or trying to make replicas of paintings I saw in them.

The books that stayed at home are the ones that got a lot of use. We organized them, and now everything is much nicer.

I also created a space for myself in the living room.

Honestly, I didn't have a space. Well, I did, but it was smaller.

There was only the computer, and next to it a shelf with books and a broken television.

Now we've been able to take all that out and tidy up. I've claimed this dreamy corner as my own, and honestly, I'm in love with it.

I placed the syngonium (yes, the plant I'm holding in the photo at the end of each of my posts has grown and is beautiful), a table where I keep the materials for the online shop, and my desk.

Everything is more organized, so much so that I'm writing this while looking at that beautiful corner right next to me. It feels good to turn around and look at something of your own, something you made with your own hands, a pleasant space.

I feel at home. Somehow, every time I looked at that corner, I felt like I was in a place far away from me, because it didn't have anything that was mine, nothing with my personal touch.

And as I've gotten older, I've discovered my taste in decorating, which is based on putting plants everywhere.

So this time, as you'll see in the photos, I've placed some in the living room. Before, they were just there, waiting to see where they would go. Now they have a permanent place.

All thanks to the fact that I got organized and everything finally has its place.

Tomorrow we'll continue with the kitchen. I can't guarantee I'll finish it in one day; I'll probably spend all of December 24th painting. Which isn't a problem for me because we don't do much at home these days.

But I am sure I'll write to you about the result in the kitchen. I have some interesting painting ideas in mind.
