Good morning Hive world. I hope you are all well and you are keeping out of trouble.
Sunday was a good day for me. I hear lots of people complaining that they are bored with this lock down. I'm loving it. When you have light painting you are never bored. Now is the best time for you to get into light art, as I find it the perfect medicine for avoiding the lock down blues.
I fixed and re-jigged a couple of light emitting tools in the morning and thought about the days shot. After tea I spent a good hour drawing and cutting out these cardboard children and another hour lighting it from various directions.
I first draw them out on white paper and stick that to a sheet of black card. Next I get my craft knife and cutting mat and start cutting out the picture. I mount it on a frame and am able to light it from various angles to obtain the effect I am looking for.
Lit with my freshly housed 10w rgb pool bulb, lp brushes filters and a hint of vape.
Here is a shot of the setup used to create this piece.
If you have any questions about this technique please feel free to give me a shout and I'd be happy to help.
