One thing we've tried to do as lightpainters is mix lightpainting with model photography. We've been lucky to work with some fantastic models willing to come out in the dark and often the cold!
Case in point shooting with Kerri Ross-Russell, we went to an old Lime Kiln in Matlock to shoot the following images. I loved the setup for the first image as it was so simple, Kerri sat on the floor on a mat that had brought and we set the laser behind her and lit a smoke pellet. The first shot in silhouette is my favourite because of the simplicity..
..but I do like this shot a lot too, lit from the front to light Kerri up, and the head and shoulders shots..
Equipment used Nikon D600 16-85mm lens, laser pen flash and smoke pellets
