I remember the Red socks when Pete Rose was playing. It was a golden age of baseball for me and most middle school kids in the 80s.
When I passed down the street today this shirt called my name. I'm not from Boston but a red and white Boston T shirt is striking.
I couldn't get two feet past the shirt without calling my wife. I took this picture and sent it to her.
She said, "You never lived in Boston and red doesn't look good on you."
That's it. She was right. If anything red makes me look overweight and I've never even visited Boston.
So goodbye shirt. The way I look at it is I saved a few bucks because I listened to my wife.
Oh there is no punchline yet. I Just came home and checked my closet. I don't have a single short sleeved comfortable shirt.
Then I found my son is wearing mine. All my sports shirts were moved to his closet.
I said, "What is this? These are all my summer shirts."
My wife said, "Didn't you buy that shirt you were looking at?"
