In 2021 Courtney Nettleton of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England who is currently 21 years old discovered herself being abnormally sleepy. Her doctor dismissed that as "teenage laziness". Turned out she had thyroid cancer. Her doctor effectively delayed her treatment and endangered her life.
I had a similar experience. Doctors effectively ignored my complaints of mild pain in the abdomen and weakness. It turned out to be kidney issues which I am learning to control, thanks mostly not to any of those doctors.
So, first off - if you choose to just "trust doctors" you are doing so at your own peril. Additionally, don't feel bad about yelling at your doctor - this person's job it to work to help you, don't worry about your doctor liking you, worry about getting the help when you need help. Secondly, modern medicine infuses an illusion of omniscience into doctors. Don't fall for that illusion and don't let them override your common sense. That may literally kill you in some situations.
