It seems that Hyundai Motorsport opted for the same strategy as Toyota because they also stayed in Portugal to rebuild the cars and make them to tarmac spec, and later tested that.
Yeah, rich teams will rather do that and send everything by plane then send the cars via ships two months earlier and wait when everything will into the harbour of Japan. Modern times indeed.
So Hyundai did the same as Toyota and probably tested at the same venues. We have a video of the test. Please enjoy...
