Hi, friends!
Young Finnish gun Kalle Rovanpera started to drive rally cars at the age of 8 and he was very lucky because his father Hari is a true legend and ex-works driver of Peugeot, Seat and Mitsubishi WRC teams.
Now t's turn for the youngsters and Kalle is doing great job. But his evolution as a driver was huge through variation of classes but all his cars had sequential gearbox and it is big difference to shift with manual or sequential gearbox.
With manual you must use clutch while with sequential there is no use of clutch while shifting gears (my team boss use clutch while downshifting).
Kalle said for himself that this was his best tarmac rally for some time at that moment.
It is really a great drive from him on 33km stage. He was not counted for European Rally Championship, just Italian Rally Championship.
Enjoy and learn...
