Mads Ostberg is really a great car developer because after he started to drive Citroen C3 R5, they started to deliver good results.
I remember his statement after he tried it for the first time: "I am scared of that car." Well that was just under developed car which needed more work on it and much more testing then before.
A few weeks ago I spoke with Richard Millener, head of M-Sport Ford, and I told him that development driver is very important for the car. Ostberg did really great job with this Citroen C3 R5 and he also developed a new version called Rally2.
He won with that car on tarmac of Croatia last weekend but it is well known that Citroen always performs great on tarmac rallies. We must wait for gravel of Portugal to see how Ostberg will do there.
I remember very good his performance from Monte Carlo Rallye last season where he took a dominant win with the same car.
It seems that his cooperation with Torstein Eriksen as a co-driver is really good because they are winning together. They won WRC2 crown last season.
