Hi, friends!
My wish of making the top class of World Rally Championship much more similar to Rally2 cars is closer now to fulfillment after FIA revealed that engines and gearboxes are gonna be used from Rally2 machinery. That's great if you ask me because manufacturers and a few tuners made the sport monopolistic which can not be good for series.
From next season, manufacturers and tuners will be able to make the cars in top class which won't be more expensive then 345k EUR (in tarmac spec) and the cars will be possible to use in national series as well. Just to remind you that last year spec of Rally1 cars costed around 1 million EUR which was crazy price, if you ask me.
So some good changes are coming to the sport. Chassis will be tubular, something similar to current Rally1 cars and tuners will have to make 10 chassis for sale if they will want to compete as a manufacturers.
Let we see what's behind a corner...
