Most of my days start with early mornings followed by a day that, through necessity, must be structured. Days don't always go to plan though and I'm flexible but they have to be structured around what needs to get done with time left over for what I want to get done; I mean for myself with the last part.
Today, there was no early start, no alarm clock, and I managed to lay in bed with my partner and snuggle some. He's an early riser usually, earlier than me, and he gets a little antsy when it comes to laying in bed too long so after we snuggled and chatted a little we got up and started breakfast together, a lovely mushroom, onion, tomato, cheese and parsley omelette he makes that's always so lovely, and we ate, chatted and sipped coffee for almost an hour in our outdoor area surrounded by all our plants which was just beautiful.
I spent most of the day in the garden and even brought some inside with me to make up a vase for my bedside table. I saved a little bloom for this photo you see.

That's the most exciting part of the day really, the gardening, snuggling and breakfast, but it was one of those days that always feels so good, like life is supposed to feel, with happiness, love and togetherness, contentment, joy and comfort.
Later in the afternoon we spent a little time going though some photos and reminiscing and shared a piece of cheesecake a friend of mine had brought a day earlier. It was a baked one she'd made personally and had an ingenious crackly topping made of honey that she gathered from her own bees. It was very nice with coffee despite being a little naughty. Later tonight we'll watch a series and the guy said he wants to play strip-Jenga. Well, he didn't really say that at all...his eyes implied it.
I love days like this spent quietly at home doing little things that bring big rewards to my life. People can often get so caught up with the fast-paced nature of life that they forget to do the small things that bring a deep happiness; that's what I think anyway.
