Beltane is usually celebrated on May 1. For me, however, this was never conclusive, because why should such an ancient festival oriented to the seasons fall on a day in our 365-day calendar, which did not exist in ancient times?
Often it is said that Beltane was celebrated when the hawthorn blossomed, yes it makes sense, because with this blossom the summer is finally here. And it is the beginning of summer that is celebrated at Beltane.
Beltane wird zumeist ja am 1. Mai gefeiert. Für mich war das aber nie schlüssig, denn warum sollte ein so uraltes an den Jahreszeiten orientiertes Fest auf einen Tag in unserem 365 Tage Kalender fallen, den es ja in alten Zeiten gar nicht gab?
Oft wird erzählt Beltane wurde gefeiert wenn der Weißdorn blühte, ja macht Sinn, denn mit dieser Blüte ist der Sommer endlich da. Und der Sommerbeginn ist es, der zu Beltane gefeiert wird.

Und genau diese Nacht ist jetzt. Der schon so gut wie volle Mond scheint von einem klaren Himmel, ich habe ein Kerze angezündet und werde mir noch mit dem Mond gemeinsam gute Musik anhören.
