I was going through the newspaper and I saw a caption that half of Nigerians spend almost 100% of income on food. I will agree with what was they said because most of the income gotten in a month has been on food. There are many people who are collecting less than the minimum wage and of which they have families. Even some people will have been in debt before they collect the salary and when the salary enters it goes to debt repayment and food.
Recently the rate of loan app has greatly increased in which they exploit people with crazy interests because they know the situation of things in the country and people doesn't have choice than for them to borrow the money. Some will borrow a d wouldn't be able to pay back because of the high interest.
Now there is no way you dont want to spend in a day that you will not spend up to four thousand naira which is almost a dollar and calculate that for a month which is 30days which will be around one hundred and twenty thousand naira. Now imagine a person collecting less than one hundred thousand naira in a month. With this we have not calculate transportation, buying of clothes , shoes and other miscellaneous.
What do you think should be done in a country we are paying tax and what should government do to lessen the price of the food in the country?
