Hello guys, IB here with a little something to keep you motivated, stay with meš
Lately, Iāve been glued to a particular TikTok challenge, one I find both heartwarming and inspiring.
Wondering what the challenge is? Donāt worry, Iāll tell you.
This challenge is about young people showing pictures of their elderly parents when they were young. The caption always reads, āMy Dad/Mum told me she/he was hot, I didnāt believe it until I saw these pictures.ā
These types of videos are usually filled with so many hilarious comments. You get to see people appreciating the beauty and handsomeness of these legends in their prime, some wishing they could link their parents up with them, and others going crazy over the kind of life these titans lived, while others blamed age for rubbing people off of their youthful spark.
In all those videos, the one thing I appreciated was the gift of life and the free will to enjoy or experience it at every point in time. Most of these people might not have it easy right now, but the fact that they can look back and be reminded of the kind of life they were fortunate to live is golden.
I love photography, I love how it freezes time and captures moments. I love how we are reminded of times when we were truly happy.
To everyone reading this, this is a reminder to live life to the fullest, no holding back, no procrastination, just you living in the moment and enjoying every bit of it.
Yes, life might not always be fair, yes you might not have it all figured out, but would you spend the rest of your life, living in anger and self-pity? Would you ruin your entire adulthood just because you werenāt born with a silver spoon?
Cāmon dearie, you deserve more of life than sulking and overthinking. You might not be privileged like others, but you have all it takes to not only be a better person but also be a happy person.
Life might not be fair to some of these titans right now, but guess what? They can take a look back and remember a time in their lives when they were able to smile as authentic as they did in the photographs.
The moral lesson of this post is, make every day count, live in the moment, enjoy everything as tomorrow isnāt promised.
