It's Sunday, and it's the weekend day in most countries. Almost all of us wait for the weekend because it's the day that allows spending our day as we want. We desire to pass the time meaningfully with relaxation, but most of us end up our day doing something that keeps us busy in that day also.
Last night, I read a post that made me realize again that we are repeating the sequences of our regular tasks and that making our life boring. In her post, she said, "Surviving does not mean we are living" and that caught my attention, and I agree with that statement.
Just think about our daily life. How we spent most of our day? Isn't it like we are doing the same tasks again and again each day, except for some exceptions? The difference is the date of the calendar changes, but our work remains the same. It's like our life is stuck in a circle, and we are running, and each morning we start everything from the same point. Isn't it the tasks like a robot? I think most of us are already turned into human robots.
Why are we doing so? The primary and direct purpose of it is to earn money to survive because we need to fulfill the basic demands of living a decent life, like ensuring food, clothes, a house, treatment, and other basic needs. Nothing comes to us for free, and in this present world, when inflation is striking us badly, maintaining balance from the financial perspective is indeed difficult. Maybe, for the reason we are running after money desperately like mad.
Is it only for surviving, means just for fulfilling basic needs? In that case, what is the meaning of such a life? We are humans, not robots that are bound to do something that is programmed. We have emotions, and we have the desire. But our desire starts to fade away with our growth when responsibility increases, and it starts to engulf ourselves. After crossing the age of 24/25, responsibility becomes a burden for us because we become mature in that time. Our maturity forces us to think about our future, and we keep focusing on it, and we want to earn money to secure the future.
At the end we want to enjoy a happy life, which is the very common desire, and we are working tirelessly just because of it. Having the vision for the future is very important, and I don't have any doubt in that case, but what is the meaning of the future, which is still uncertain, but for that uncertain future we are wasting our present? Is it worthy of it? Don't you think we have a soul, and it's dying each day working like a robot? Youth is the best time to satisfy our souls because it's the best time life is colorful to us because with our growth we will lose the color, and forth finding happiness will be different after losing the color even if we have huge money. You can understand it by a simple example. In childhood, little chocolate was enough to make us happy, but now that's not the same for us. We have money and can buy many chocolates for us, but it can't give us the happiness we felt in the childhood time. That's the reality. So the happiness we can feel right now may not be possible to feel in the same way. For the so-called future, sacrificing the present happiness is kind of foolishness.
I am just trying to say that why shouldn't we leave ourselves to do something we like to do that makes us happy rather than always thinking about money? It's not so difficult to break the circle of life we are living as long as we are determined.
