Seeing the invisible? The title is an oxymoron but it will make more sense as you continue to read.
This familiar verse from the Bible might be more familiar.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1
Some people have faith and believe in things they cannot see, including an invisible Creator. However, this blog is not about the Bible. I do not want to seem New Age-y either.
Before I heard about the Law of Attraction, I pondered over this and many other topics. The concept of "Seeing the invisible" is something that we do quite frequently without thinking about it. It is done every time anyone has a goal that they want to achieve.
Whilst reading these points, consider a goal which you have achieved to decide whether you consciously or subconsciously did any of the following.
The Vision
A vision is always the first step when there is a goal that someone would like to realise/manifest. It is seen in the mind’s eye first, by thinking with the end in mind. If it cannot be envisioned or if we stop believing - it will never happen.
Everything around us, the computer / smartphone you are using, the pen you are scribbling with, the clothes you are wearing - all were just a thought at first - just an idea/vision - an invisible concept in someone’s mind. That person/people made the invisible possible - it went from invisible ideas/visions/thoughts and became real. Thought becomes things indeed. The invisible becomes visible.
The Desire
One must have a strong desire to realise one's vision. There needs to some excitement to show that the vision is wanted, hence expressing some positive emotions. The word emotion actually means energy in motion - it will assist in motivating you to follow through with your vision.
When we become emotional we can feel the energy in our bodies increase or decrease. It happens with every day occurrences which we react to. It makes us feel sad, happy, angry, ecstatic etc.
Supporting Beliefs
What are our intrinsic beliefs? Will they support our desires? One needs to believe that what they desire, they can have or deserve to have. Limiting beliefs can hold us back especially if they are formulated during our childhood or from a cultural perspective. We tend to hang on to them steadfastly. It is that same strength and passion behind beliefs, which needs to be applied to visions. However, they should be supporting beliefs which can propel us to realise the vision.
Becoming aware of one's beliefs is important. Changing limiting beliefs can be challenging but it can be done if one really wants to change. We can adapt easily if we want to - especially to realise our goals.
Clear intentions
We have many thoughts in our heads of things we desire. Make the intention for what is desired very clear. Write it down. The clarity will help us to be more focused.
The right action
Action is required. If someone has clear intentions about what is desired but sit back and do nothing - nothing will happen. It is that simple. Sometimes action means learning new skills or studying. However, it could also mean going to a conference or being in the right place at the right time.
Have you ever been excited about one of your goals?
Most often one is energised and motivated. Thereafter, everything just seems to be happening when they should and how it is expected?
Then you are in a state of flow during the process. You are working hard, you remain focused - working from your heart.
Do not become too obsessed - just enjoy the process.
- Remain present and grateful and
- Surround yourself with people who support your goals.
Since our thoughts are the beginning of the creative process - let’s think beautiful thoughts and create beautiful things - big and/or small.
Then we will continuously "see the invisible".
