Givers never lack...
I have always believed this quote all my life and it has been paving the way for me every time. I love to give and I don't do it to expect something in return from the same person because I know that karma will always reward you back later either from that individual or another which you may not even remember until you are being brought back to the past and the person will be like, remember how you helped me that day?...this girl saved me when I was financially broke and more examples like that.
One thing I have held onto in my palm is that when you are a giver, you are capable to help the other fellow who is weak and needs to be helped and knowing that later, things may turn out well for the person. My happiness and joy is to see people excelling and doing fine but as life has it for everyone, we are in different positions and situations in our lives and hoping to do better.
Since last week, I have been craving plantain on my meals and it is now so expensive here that one would get just 3 plantains for #500($0.5+). That wasn't my problem though but getting it here is always scarce. One would have to go to the main market which costs over $1 to get it because of the fuel increase. There is a woman who sells at the junction which can be trekkable but she hasn't been coming around. I kept salivating and craving while hoping I get it anytime soon.
Yesterday morning, I decided to get it by all means because I wanted it. While engaging on Hive, a guy knocked on my door and requested I borrow him a little cent with the explanation that he was going out and didn't have cash on him. The amount he needed, I wasn't having the change which I explained. I had to go get it for him elsewhere because this guy is not someone I would want to refuse. He has been helpful to me in some areas and I liked him, also he is like a junior brother to me. I gave him and he went his way.
It makes me happy to help people because I am in the capacity to do that. After a few hours, he returned, thanked me and gave me back the money he borrowed. Seriously, the way he was doing that, one would think I offered him millions of naira, I was still outside washing my towels when I heard someone open my door and dropped something. I was surprised when I saw plantains, not one or two, but more than 6. I screamed in shock and thanked him. It was as if he saw my heart and how I was craving plantain but see how God made a way for me. This is why I said above that givers never lack.
I was already planning to get 3 plantains but I got more than double of it. I just couldn't hide my feelings and decided I must share this here while pouring my thought on how powerful it is to give to people. Give, not because you are expecting back in return. Give, not because you are pushed to. But give because you are doing humanity a big favour and putting smiles on people.
