Good day, Hivers! It’s back with another inspiring blog. For today’s post, I want to share a quote I came across this morning, something that many of us can relate to. We’ve all experienced moments when we just don’t feel motivated to accomplish anything due to tiredness. Sometimes, we even end up overthinking our own capabilities.
"If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right." - Henry Ford
This quote is so true and practical because it reminds us how powerful our mindset is. If you think you can’t do something, then you’re right because even before you try, you’ve already convinced yourself that you’re not capable. You defeat yourself before the challenge even begins.
I can personally relate to this. I was the one who built our 2-storey house, and I’m not even an engineer. At first, I doubted myself. I questioned whether I could really do it. But I believed in myself, and because of financial limitations, I had no choice but to do it on my own. So I built our 2-storey house manually, step by step. And yes with God’s help, I finished it. Not because I was the most skilled, but because I believed I could.
Life itself can be beautiful, but to truly experience its beauty, we must live it fully without drowning in overthinking. We work, we struggle, because we’re human but we should also learn to trust ourselves. We’re blessed with strength, courage, and the ability to accomplish things. Yet sometimes we are the same people who erase our own potential through doubt.
Remember: your own self should be your first source of inspiration. No matter how difficult something seems, you will find a way if you’re willing. So the next time you think a task is too hard, don’t overthink it. Try, start, believe, and don’t give up.
