Time is one concept I've known to have a major say in the lives of humans, whether we desire it or not and not minding if it's passage causes us joy or pain.
It's both valued and underrated by different people but as I love to remind myself, time doesn't need us but we need it, even in aspects we may think we don't.
I was watching a movie few days ago, the entire Insidious chronicles and in a certain chapter, during a funeral of one of the actors in the movie, the seasons of time were all recited. Areas I've never thought about included.
And yes, it got me thinking, rethinking and overthinking. It simply got my lazy brains to work and I've always found it captivating how a single word, sentence or act leaves me thinking deep though this time around, they were multiple sentences. But all revolving around that one fabric of life; time.
There's a time to be born and to die.
To kill and to heal.
To keep and to throw away.
To weep and to laugh.
To mourn and to dance.
For silence and to speak.
To love and to hate.
For war and for peace.
It's a pretty simple breakdown of the fact that every single thing has its season. No rush! No pressure! Just flow with each pace, maintaining a steady stride.
You can't fasten or slower time. All we are permitted to do is to flow with its rhythm. While time might seem to be way too fast or slow, it's left for one to make most of each moment and let every damn second count.
No time spent to show an act of love, kindness or a step towards success and purpose is a waste nor insignificant. Drops of water is said to make an ocean. Similarly, each second matters and as we all know, amounts to a minute then hour, day, week, month, year, century...
Letting all things to happen in their due season doesn't mean sitting pretty like a royalty and expecting a miracle or something of that sort to happen. It's simply doing what is required of us, at the right time and not pushing up things at a later period of time.
You can't begin the plantation of a crop that matures in six months, three months later and expect to harvest it the same time as someone who is one step ahead of you. Neither is it wise to hold on to things that we ought to have let go or thrown away a long time ago.
All things has its seasons and if we wish not to be far behind or stuck in a previous season when one ought to be in another, then we have to stick to the right timing for all activities and of course letting things take its course and time, do its trick as it weaves all moments, memories and experiences of ours... In sync.
