As the motorcycle run along the way I find myself looking at the things that I always saw every week until I saw this middle age couple with a young boy riding in a motorcycle with the junk on the sidecar and thought how blessed we are because my son didn't experience those. I am not saying that they are not blessed, what I mean is that we have lot of things we need to be thankful for.
I continue to look and observe. I didn't expect that I will came up to wrote an article while going to my in-laws house earlier. As the motorcycle of my husband taking the way I focus myself on things that I saw and theres a piece on my mind that tells me to save my thoughts on that travel.
We are all striving to live and have a better life.
As the motorcycle running along the way I saw a different people who selling something on the road. A mid age woman selling a smoked fish and the other one also selling some stuffs. Day to day living is kinda hard for people who only survive for this kind of living. With the inflation nowadays even a person who earned above minimum wage having a hard time budgeting thier salaries how much more on those people that don't have a sure income within the day.
A short but narrow road or a long but a safe road?
Which one will you choose? A short travel time with broken and unsafe road or a long travel time with clean and safe road? We always choose a short travel time with broken road located near the river but it's really inconvenient a unsafe because we have our son with us that's why we decided to go on the long travel time but we are convinient and we know that it's more safe to take that path.
Taking a risk on exploring things.
We have the usual route when going to my in-laws house and earlier we decided to take the path that is not familiar with the hope that we can find an alternative way to make our travel time shorter and we did. It was a shortcut.
In life we need to explore things also and discover whatever life offered to us so that we can find ways to be better and to grow.
Life is short and death is inevitable.
On our way to my in-laws house we witnessed two funeral. This photo was captured near my in-laws house and my husband know the person who died. Life is short and death is inevitable that's why we need to enjoy life and be thankful in every morning the God wake us up.
What keeps you holding on?
I asked my husband why they didn't renovate this house and decided to preserved this? What this house and what are the reason why they still holding on to this? It this because of the memories on this house? It's is because they abandoned it? One thing is for sure. This old house has a lot of memories years ago and I really love to look at it every time we passes on this corner of the street.
photos were captured by me.
