Bear Mountain!!

Since the start of winter I've been enjoying lots of snowboarding. I have an IKON pass (a season pass that works at several resorts) so I've been trying to go as often as I can to get my money's worth on my pass. On this trip I headed up to Big Bear to the Bear Mountain Resort. I got up there nice and early and for the first time ever I got front row parking! I got myself ready and got on the chair lifts as soon as they opened. It was a lovely morning with beautiful smooth corduroy snow.

I spent most the morning taking runs off of chair 2(aka Bear Mountain Xpress) which is the fastest and the longest chair. Then I headed over to chair 4, which is probably my favorite chair at Bear Mountain, and did a bunch of runs there on 'Exhibition' and 'Ripcord'.

It was a really nice day up there... perfect weather and no crowds. But after awhile my knee was getting sore and so, although I wanted to get in some runs on chair 8, I had to call it another early day. But before driving back home I headed over to the north shore of the lake and enjoyed a nice walk along the shoreline.
