There are many things. Like the contest post said that many of us would graduate from school with good grades after years of dedication to your academics.
Life could very unfathomable sometimes, but all we need is to prepare ahead. Basic knowledge is not taught in school. In Nigeria, we say life na street, and need the OT to survive it means life is like a jungle you to smart in it.
School can teach you reading, writing and could also help you develop critical thinking, problem solving and skills.
But sometimes school does not teach one about adaptability to the real word skills. You learn from mistakes.
Life has a way of shaping characters and values. A snapshot from my life.
During my secondary school days, i was a habitual late comer, not because i was occupied with probably house chores but i was always reluctant. I was known that year as the someone who's after me, no one is coming to school because i was always the last student to come to school.
I was flogged, disclipned, punished yet the habit couldn't stop until when i got admission into the university. I was told a University is a kind of a free world where lecturers give lecture and they don't crosscheck notes, or punish student who don't write notes or assignments or even punish student who came late to lectures. The least they could do is sent the student of lecture hall.
My habit of lateness virtually continued until first semester 100lvl.exams were starting 7am in the morning, i initially thought it was all a joke not until i almost missed my first exam since then i started disciplining myself to get up early and do things.
So, me changing was based on a real life experience i had and no one now told i needed a change.
I invite
