Happy new month fellow hivers, hopefully this new month brings us good tidings and uplift entry in our careers.
Secrets are meant to be kept and not shared to anyone, in turn certain kinds of secret take a different toll on you as it can be light or deeply emotional. Not everyone is perfect when it come to life experiences, we all make mistakes one way or another, it is also worthy to not that these mistakes or action of ours does not entirely make us a bad person, it just makes us human in every sense of the word.
As human beings there are dreams and aspirations we all desire from life, but often times life may not be fair to us all. In most cases, your friends get to enjoy the good things of life before it gets to your turn.
You know when going for Youth service, a compulsory one year service to the nation in my country, there are always two sets which means batch A and batch B. When the time for registration came, I and my friends were excited and we enrolled the same day and time. But unfortunately, when the time came to check where we were posted to, my friends made it to first batch and my name was not there.
I was disappointed and frustrated at first. It was not jealousy I felt for my friends but it made me feel bad that I was left out. I just summoned courage and congratulated them. I got my call up letter 3months after.
This is not really a secret although I never told anyone how disappointing it was to be left out.
This is my participation in the community weekly contest, to join in check through this link
This week, we want to know that story you've never told anyone. Tell us why you kept it a secret. Do you feel light carrying it, or has it taken its toll on you?
