I have been on this platform for 4 years and even in the midst of the worst events, I have never thought of quitting. My reasons are not what a lot of people writing this prompt are saying; they are just different, real, unique, and never made up to entice people or follow the crowd.
"Kingsleyy, you still write on Hive? You’re trying oooh!"
I have a friend of mine on this platform who always gives me this question anytime I make a post about Hive on my WhatsApp status. She finds it so unbelievable to see that I'm still on Hive and she keeps wondering why I'm still here. This friend stopped a very long time ago, even before the price of Hive dropped to 0.2. In fact, she still gifts me her Ecency points once in a while.
I have a lot of people who come around and make it sound weird that I’m still blogging on Hive. They stopped a long time ago due to the dip that started affecting earnings from posts.
In all of this, I have never thought of following in their footsteps and opting out of the system. And that’s not going to happen anytime soon unless the system crashes completely.
I have never thought of quitting because the little cents I earn here are still very useful. Oh yeah, this is one of the reasons I’m not leaving anytime soon. I’m a big fan of little drops that make an ocean. The Hive I’m earning here now, if I succeed in keeping it until the price increases, is going to be a big flex. Just imagine a situation where Hive hits $1.
I also know that a lot of people who stopped writing here are still going to be richer than me due to the amount of Hive and HP they accumulated already, but I don’t care. It’s my own progress that interests me.
Before I left the other platforms I used to blog on, I found a new and better one, which is Hive. And that’s how my system works. I don’t just quit and remain idle; I like to hold on to something. So until a better option comes out, I’m not leaving here. Also, I’m not leaving as long as the cents are still dropping into my wallet, even if it’s on a very small scale.
