I created my Hive account last year but for some reason, I wasn't consistent, I am still not consistent till now but then, unlike last year when I started blogging, I now engage and join some community contests, to keep my page going, but let's imagine, what Hive would be or look like without rewards, I am sure many people like me, the first narrative we got and made us joined this platform is the "pay" at least a side pay away from our monthly wages or salary.
Our urgent money bank when we have no monthly or daily wages, a bank to fall back to when we are in critical situations, these and more were the reasons many people joined the platform, before they got to enjoy the account growth, circle of friends or bloggers like themselves, and engagement that comes with being here.
Truthfully, when I started or joined Hive it was because of the rewards I heard of but it's been how many months now and I have never withdrawn from my wallet to buy anything, but it's something I hope to do someday, although for now, I hope it happens the way I wish it to.
The rewards on my post aren't encouraging and as a new blogger, it's discouraging but I still come here to engage and drop a post, just so it doesn't become dormant like it was throughout last year after my introduction post here. The funny part is I would take my time to sit and pen down a long minutes read and at the end of the day, I get no reward on the post, most times I wonder if it is because the post is too lengthy that is why or perhaps it is because I am a new person here but regardless it isn't encouraging.
So, based on the prompt question, I have already assumed that I am not getting reasonable rewards, I mean most weeks, my rewards hold no worth, so i am believing this phase is a growing phase, but I am still here, so it automatically means, I am not here anymore because of just the rewards as I had intended from the onset but because I get to have a space where I pour out my heart, most times get rewards other times get nothing for it.
The anticipation of the rewards I would be getting if I came back was what fueled my return to this platform. So, maybe if I were told it was a platform that doesn't pay, I wouldn't have joined but I was told it is a platform that pays and it would favour a student like myself who is finding it hard to get a job due to school but I am staying and still here not because of the reward but because I am enjoying it.
