School frustration is real. One thing about school is you can't really get the exact thing you plan, especially in Nigerian schools. For me, when I was a student, at some point I didn't plan; I just resumed and left the rest to whatever will be, because at the end of the day what will be will be. Let me share with you a little story about my experience the year I got admission into the university. When I got admission into the university, I planned how to do my clearance. I was like, at least two weeks will be enough for me to finish everything, and start lectures.
When I got to the school, I started my clearance, and after two weeks, it was as if I had just started yesterday. I have to go for lectures and come back to pick up my files After signing, I got to one particular office, and my file stayed there for almost three months. Anytime I go to pick it up, they will tell me that my file is not yet ready. Sometimes I will even cry because I need to submit my file at the admin office; if not, I won't be considered a student. So one fateful day, I went to yet again check them.
I met this mature-looking man seated; I greeted him and asked him for my file again, but then same story. I left crying as usual, and a lady saw me and asked what the problem was. I told her, and she asked me of my state of origin. I told her and even added my local government. She told me to go back and speak to the man with my local dialect. I did, and he smiled and removed my file from under his table.
I was shocked, like, how can a human frustrate his fellow human like this? That year my results weren't that good because, at some point, everything was just too much for me, the lectures I skipped, and other things. I didn't read to understand again, I read to pass, because I was exhausted already. The truth is Nigeria's system of education is very poor, and that is making school so stressful, honestly. At some point I even lost hope for education, Nigeria education to be specific. Thanks for stopping by.
