Cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection are the three basic steps of any skincare routine, they are the ones dermatologists recommend to start creating the habit of facial care, after that you can add more steps, there are even routines of up to ten steps! Despite that, the base remains the same, cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection, whatever type of skin we have, this does not change, the only thing that varies is the type of products we use to comply with these steps.

I always say that the most important step in any routine is sunscreen, it is the best thing we can do for our skin. Secondly, for me there is a tie between cleansing and moisturizing, my skin is oily, so I try to do an efficient cleansing every time I wash my face, but with moisturizing I have had several problems, if the cream is too heavy it causes me a lot of shine or worse, my dermatitis starts to break out, that's why I am in the eternal search for the perfect moisturizer, the one that controls oil production, that hydrates the skin well and that is non-comedogenic, that is, my holy grail of moisturizers.
There is a false belief about oily skin and that is that it doesn't need moisturizing because that only makes it produce more oil, but the truth is that all skins need moisturizing, some more than others, but in general they all benefit from a good moisturizer. In my case, when I don't properly moisturize my facial skin, it starts to produce more oil, I guess to compensate for the lack of hydration, that's why it's so important for me to find the right product. The ones that are usually recommended for my skin type are the gel type moisturizers, I recently tried one from the brand Garnier that I really liked, however, its application required using too much product, so I continued in my search for the perfect moisturizer.
I am one of those who every time I go to the supermarket I go to the face care section looking for deals, especially sunscreen, which is what I use the most. In one of those magical visits I found a product that caught my attention, a moisturizing gel from the brand Simple that I had not seen before. I have already spoken many times about this brand, as I think it is excellent, not only has affordable prices, but it is for sensitive skin, has no perfume, alcohol, or dyes and in addition to everything is environmentally friendly. I checked the product on the Skin Bliss app and saw that it had several interesting things, so I added it to the cart, because it was also on discount.
It took a couple of weeks before I started using it, since I still had some of my previous moisturizer, although I was already impatient to try it. When the day finally came I was surprised by its texture and panicked a bit, it wasn't a gel, it was more of a very light lotion, like a middle ground between a cream and a gel. I remembered that I already had experience using lotions and had done very well, so I regained my calm and applied the product, I immediately felt something I liked: with very little product I could cover the entire face and neck.
The next thing I felt was an incredible sensation of softness, I had never felt a moisturizer that left my skin so soft, not even the expensive dermatological ones, so in that first application I was totally pleased, because it was also absorbed quite quickly and without leaving a greasy or heavy feeling on my face. As usual in simple products, no trace of perfume, which is always an important point for me, because with my allergic rhinitis there are perfumes that I simply can't tolerate and have made me throw away a practically new product.
The first week I felt the moisturizer a bit strange, the softness was momentary and then the skin returned to "normal", what I could notice almost immediately is that it controlled my oil perfectly well without leaving the skin with that annoying tight feeling. As the weeks went by and with continued use I began to notice differences, my skin no longer felt as dull as before, but had a much healthier color, something that no other product had ever achieved, plus the feeling of softness began to last practically from wash to wash.
My experience has been really good, unlike other products I had tried that only kept my skin moisturized, with this gel I have noticed a favorable difference in addition to its moisturizing properties, since its ingredients include niacinamide (vitamin B3) and vitamin C, both are very good for the health of our skin and contribute to improve its appearance. Another point in its favor is that its price is really accessible, only 8 USD, a real wonder for a product that I have liked so much and that has been so good for my skin.
I don't want to declare victory yet and say that I have found my ultimate moisturizer, but I think I will continue to use it for several more months because I love the results I have obtained so far.
Buscando el hidratante perfecto
Limpieza, hidratación y protección solar son los tres pasos básicos de cualquier rutina de skincare, son con los que los dermatólogos recomiendan comenzar para comenzar a crear el hábito del cuidado facial, luego de esto se pueden ir agregando más pasos, hay incluso rutinas de hasta ¡diez pasos!. A pesar de eso, la base sigue siendo la misma, limpieza, hidratación y protección solar, tengamos el tipo de piel que tengamos, esto no cambia, lo único que varía es el tipo de productos que empleemos para cumplir con dichos pasos.
Yo siempre digo que el paso más importante en cualquier rutina es el protector solar, es lo mejor que podemos hacer por nuestra piel. En segundo lugar, para mí hay un empate entre la limpieza y la hidratación, mi piel es grasa, así que busco hacer una limpieza eficiente cada vez que lavo mi cara, pero con la hidratación he tenido varios problemas, si la crema es muy pesada me causa mucho brillo o peor, mi dermatitis comienza a brotar, es por ello que ando en la búsqueda eterna del hidratante perfecto, ese que controle la producción de grasa, que hidrate bien la piel y que no sea comedogénico, es decir, mi santo grial de los hidratantes.
Hay una falsa creencia sobre la piel grasa y es que esta no necesita hidratación porque eso solo hace que se produzca más grasa, pero la verdad es que todas las pieles necesitan hidratación, algunas más que otras, pero en general todas se benefician de un buen hidratante. En mi caso, cuando no hidrato correctamente la piel de mi rostro, esta comienza a producir más grasa, supongo que para compensar la falta de hidratación, por eso es tan importante para mí encontrar el producto adecuado. Los que se recomiendan normalmente para mi tipo de piel son los hidratantes tipo gel, hace poco probé uno de la marca Garnier que me gustó mucho, sin embargo, su aplicación requería emplear demasiado producto, así que seguí en mi búsqueda del hidratante perfecto.
Yo soy de las que cada vez que va al supermercado se va a la sección de cuidado del rostro en busca de ofertas, sobre todo de protector solar, que es lo que más uso. En una de esas visitas mágicas encontré un producto que llamó bastante mi atención, un gel hidratante de la marca Simple que no había visto antes. Ya les he hablado muchas veces de esta marca, ya que me parece excelente, no solo cuenta con precios accesibles, sino que es para pieles sensibles, no cuenta con perfume, alcohol, ni colorantes y además de todo es amigable con el medio ambiente. Revisé el producto en la app Skin Bliss y vi que tenía varias cosas interesantes, así que lo agregué al carrito, porque además de todo estaba en descuento.
Pasaron un par de semanas antes de que comenzara a utilizarlo, ya que todavía tenía un poco de mi hidratante anterior, aunque ya estaba impaciente por probarlo. Cuando por fin llegó el día me sorprendió su textura y entré un poco en pánico, no era un gel, era más bien una loción muy ligera, como un punto medio entre una crema y un gel. Recordé que ya tenía experiencia usando lociones y me había ido muy bien, así que recobré la calma y apliqué el producto, inmediatamente sentí algo que me gustó: con muy poco producto pude cubrir todo el rostro y el cuello.
Lo siguiente que sentí fue una sensación de suavidad increíble, jamás había sentido un hidratante que dejara mi piel tan suave, ni siquiera los dermatológicos carísimos, así que en esa primera aplicación me sentí totalmente complacida, porque además se absorbió bastante rápido y sin dejarme una sensación grasosa o pesada en el rostro. Como es costumbre en los productos de simple, ni rastro de perfume, ese siempre es un punto importante para mí, porque con mi rinitis alérgica hay perfumes que sencillamente no tolero y me han hecho desechar un producto prácticamente nuevo.
La primera semana sentí el hidratante un poco extraño, la suavidad era momentánea y después la piel volvía a la “normalidad”, lo que sí pude notar casi de inmediato es que me controlaba la grasa perfectamente bien sin dejar la piel con esa sensación tirante tan fastidiosa. Con el paso de las semanas y el uso continuo comencé a notar diferencias, mi piel ya no se notaba tan opaca como antes, sino que tenía una coloración mucho más saludable, algo que jamás había logrado ningún otro producto, además de que la sensación de suavidad comenzó a durar prácticamente de lavada a lavada.
Mi experiencia ha sido realmente buena, a diferencia de otros productos que había probado que solamente mantenían mi piel hidratada, con este gel he notado una diferencia favorable además de sus propiedades hidratantes, ya que dentro de sus ingredientes incluye niacinamida (vitamina B3) y vitamina C, ambos son buenísimos para la salud de nuestra piel y contribuyen a mejorar su aspecto.
