Debo admitir que hasta hace par de años yo no utilizaba protección solar, esto por culpa de la ignorancia básicamente, o también por simple descuido. Sin embargo, ahora le doy la importancia que merece el cuidado de la piel por lo que he estado probando productos y hoy les hablaré del que hasta ahora es mi favorito: el protector solar de la marca Barunu.
I must admit that until a couple of years ago I didn't use sun protection, this was due to ignorance basically, or also due to simple carelessness. However, now I give skin care the importance it deserves, so I've been trying out products and today I'll tell you about my favorite one so far: Barunu sunscreen.
Esta marca es venezolana, aunque sus productos son hechos en USA. Su componente principal es el Aloe Vera el cual tiene un montón de beneficios para la piel. Tal como resaltan en su página web, el Aloe Vera contiene más de 75 nutrientes conocidos los que incluyen 12 vitaminas, 20 minerales, 18 aminoácidos, polisacáridos y enzimas, además de 200 compuestos llamados fitonutrientes que ayudan a mejorar los procesos naturales de nuestro organismo.
En general, las virtudes de esta planta son enormes sin embargo, debo destacar que por supuesto no todas las pieles reaccionan de la misma manera, así que debes tener esto presente al probar cualquier producto de cualquier marca que contenga ese ingrediente.
This brand is Venezuelan, although its products are made in the USA. Its main component is Aloe Vera, which has a lot of benefits for the skin. As highlighted on their website, Aloe Vera contains more than 75 known nutrients, including 12 vitamins, 20 minerals, 18 amino acids, polysaccharides and enzymes, as well as 200 compounds called phytonutrients that help improve the natural processes of our body.
Overall, the virtues of this plant are enormous, however, I must emphasize that of course not all skins react the same way, so you should keep this in mind when trying any product from any brand that contains that ingredient.
En mi caso, probé su protector solar de 50 SPF. Este protege de los rayos UBV y UVA, brindando una protección completa. Contiene antioxidantes, es resistente al agua y sudor, además según su descripción no es graso.
Para mí su cobertura es alta, la sensasión en la piel es muy hidrantante y agradable. No tiene efecto borrador ni deja la cara blanca, cosa que para mí era muy importante porque es algo que me desagrada de otros protectores solares.
In my case, I tried their 50 SPF sunscreen. It protects against UBV and UVA rays, providing complete protection. It contains antioxidants, is water and sweat resistant, and according to its description it is not greasy.
For me, its coverage is high, the sensation on the skin is very moisturizing and pleasant. It does not have an erasing effect nor does it leave a white cast, which was very important for me because it is something that I really dislike about other sunscreens.

Sin embargo, debo destacar dos cosas:
Primero, a pesar de que su absorsión diría que es rápida (se difumina en seguida), al principio sí deja una sensasión grasosa, probablemente por su efecto hidratante. Pero, al rato el producto se absorbe completamente y esa sensasión grasosa disminuye bastante.
Segundo, tiene aroma, es bastante suave y agradable (como a coco) pero si eres alguien de piel sensible quizá esta característica no te agrade. Aparte de lo que ya mencioné que el Aloe Vera puede afectar tu piel.
En mi caso, que tengo una piel mixta y un tanto sensible, ninguno de sus componentes me ha afectado, por el contrario, la textura mejoró muchísimo dejando un acabado suave y realmente siento mi piel protegida.
However, I must highlight two things:
First, although I would say that its absorption is fast (it fades away quickly), at first it does leave a greasy feeling, probably due to its moisturizing effect. But, after a while the product is completely absorbed and that greasy feeling diminishes a lot.
Second, it has a scent, it is quite soft and pleasant (like coconut) but if you are someone with sensitive skin, you may not like this feature. Apart from what I already mentioned that Aloe Vera can affect your skin.
In my case, I have mixed and somewhat sensitive skin, none of its components have affected me, on the contrary, the texture improved a lot, leaving a soft finish and I really feel my skin protected.
Yo recomendaría este producto al 100%, sobretodo si tu piel es seca o mixta a seca, porque es sumamente hidratante y deja un efecto de brillo de piel sana que me encanta. Sobretodo lo recomiendo porque es una presentación de 177ml (6 Fl. Oz.) que por supuesto durará bastante tiempo y además su precio es de 11,5$USD aproximadamente, lo que significa una buena inversión.
I would recommend this product a 100%, especially if you have dry or mixed to dry skin, because it is extremely moisturizing and leaves a healthy skin glowy effect that I love. I especially recommend it because it comes in a 177ml (6 Fl. Oz.) presentation that will of course last a very long time and its price is approximately 11.5$USD, which means it is a good investment.
