I don't know what to say here. I mean, the tile said it all. The sky looked great on the 5th of August 2016, and the rest of the post will try to prove and illustrate that statement. Have a good viewing.
The shapes and colors were constantly changing ...
... so I need plenty of photographs to convey all that nature had to offer on that occasion.
You'll see a nice array of celestial colors here.
All the photographs were taken in the coastal area called Marlera, a couple of kilometers from the village of Liznjan, and about five or six kilometers from Medulin, the small aside town where I live.
Two friends were there with me.
We were small and probably insignificant in the coastal landscape under the majestic clouds.
At one point the rain started falling in the distance across the bay. A small flock of birds was flying through or near that rain. You can't see the birds in this shot, but ...
... but I cropped the image and enlarged the details in question. I know that this looks like a set of random spots, like a bit of dust or dirt on the lens or the sensor, but believe me - you are looking at a group of flying birds here.
Not far from the shore, a man was jogging along one of the few dusty roads of Marlera. The seagulls were flying very low above the meadows.
Here you can see a GIF I created with two photographs of the scene shown in the previous set of six shots. Things are shifting from sharp to blurred and then from blurred back to sharp in a neverending loop.
Here you can see a lovely little cloud, only on the eastern part of the horizon. In the following photograph ...
... you can see the same thing shown in a slightly different way. I zoomed out a bit.
In this shot, I zoomed in again.
I don't know what to say here. Just another look at the sky ...
... and then another look at the sky and a bit of the scenery too.
The sky looks different in this shot. In the following photograph ...
... I zoomed in on the large vineyard planted very close to the sea.
In this photograph, the sky is blue for a change.
Here as well. In the following photograph ...
... the blue atmosphere has changed.
Here you can see another set of prevalently orange & yellow shots.
The most spectacular cloud formations appeared in the sky right above us at the end of the day. It was getting dark and I couldn't capture the atmosphere with my small, half-broken compact camera. I mean, I couldn't get a good still image in low light but the video capture worked just fine so now, in the following video, you can take a look at that most spectacular part of the great show in the sky. Have a good viewing.
This is just a small video fragment of the much longer post on Hive, a post in which you can see plenty of photographs and read a bit about the beautiful clouds on the 5th of August 2016. Seen in the context of the post this very short video looks much better and makes much more sense. It's just too short to be a standalone thing. For the soundtrack I used some lovely free-to-use music found on Pixabay. And that's it - have a good viewing.

And now, after the short video break ...
... is time to continue ...
... the long line of photographs.
At this point ...
... I really don't know what to say but ...
... but I feel the need to write something under each picture ...
... it's a habit firmly established through my years of blogging here on Hive, a fairly old habit, and as we all know old habits are hard to die ...
... you'll be able to read some pretty stupid & uninspired stuff in the rest of this post.
The end isn't very far ...
... fortunately.
I ate plenty of fruits today, peaches, cherry plums & apples, and then I had scrambled eggs with a bit of prosciutto for dinner. I mean, today. Back then in August of 2016, I was surviving on fresh air and sunlight only, if you can believe that.
You can see a bunch of birds in this shot. Seagulls.
Today the weather was for the most part cloudy. Hot, cloudy, and humid. The air was heavy, barely breathable. If you happen to sense some bad vibes emanating from your computer screen while reading this, that's probably because I wrote today's post without any joy. I'm sleepy, sweaty, and the only thing that keeps me going is the obsessive-compulsive urge to post something every day.
Fortunately, the sky in the old photographs looks good and uplifting no matter what I write today.
When it comes to their basic shape & layout, the clouds and the rocks look kind of similar in this shot.
In this tryptich, you can take another look at the clouds at the end of that long summer day.
AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE THE PHOTOGRAPHS & THE VIDEO ARE MY WORK - THE END.
