Un par de semanas despues de que empece este challenge personal vengo con unos muy buenos resultados a nivel de finanzas y a nivel emocional! Hola! por si no sabes de lo que estoy hablando unos post mas atras propuse la tesis de que los usuarios con un poder de voto pequeño dejasemos de dar votos y empezaramos a dejar propinas en las publicaciones que nos gusten, explique un poco de que en mi paso por Hive jamas he podido expresar lo suficiente lo que me ha gustado un post al menos no con mi HP actual, por lo que me pregunte a mi mismo ¿Por que no usar una de las herramientas de Peakd? la herramienta de tipping (dar propinas) es una que es practicamente nueva en el ecosistema y no habia visto a muchos usuarios usandola por lo que decidi ponerme una meta de un mes dando propinas todos los dias a las publicaciones que mas me gusten, estos son algunos de los resultados (y sensaciones) que he tenido a lo largo de estas 2 semanas.

Primero lo primero si no sabes de la funcion de la que estoy hablando o de como utilizarla es muy sencillo, algo genial del frontend de peakd, tan solo vas al post que te haya gustado y buscas el icono y haces click
, te aparecera una ventana similar a la de abajo en donde tendras que rellenar los datos de cuanta cantidad quieres dejar en el post asi como el tipo de moneda que quieres uar para esto (yo elijo por lo general el HBD ya que es la mas estable)

¿Que publicaciones me gusta darle propinas?

Soy alguien que le gusta las publicaciones sobre videojuegos, cine, libros, lo que pasa en la cadena, pero sobretodo me encantan las publicaciones que tienen un formato en markdown que sean faciles de leer e interesantes, el titulo asi como la imagen de portada juegan un papel fundamental para que yo siquiera entre en el post, tambien acostumbro a explorar un poco mas alla la comunidad para encontrar algunas de esas joyas que los curadores olvidaron y al menos hacerles saber que su contenido es genial, los post de la actualidad en mi pais asi como opiniones sobre productos que me interese comprar tambien son un must a la hora e yo dar propina, me estoy extendiendo un poco pero en general recompenso todo lo que ya dije aunque mis gustos estan cambiando constantemente!

El poder del agradecimiento

Es increible las conversaciones que he hecho por el simple hecho de dejar una propina en un post que me ha encantado, por lo general tambien comento este tipo de post pero no espero una respuesta ¡y vaya que es una sorpresa! cuando me responden y sobre todo con la buena onda producto de una merecida propina, todo funciona mejor cuando se les recompensa de manera justa a los creadores y aunque los proyectos de curacion hagan un trabajo excelso para impulsar el contenido de calidad siempre habra aquellos pequeños peces que quieran sumarse a contribuir con sus creadores favoritos!

¿Dar propinas es rentable?

Me hago esta pregunta considerando que cuando un usuario vota, independientemente de que hay muchos factores que varian en el sistema de las recompensas de curacion, al final, el usuario recibira una cantidad a cambio por su contribucion al post, yo le doy un poco la vuelta a esto porque no estoy dando propinas con el objetivo de que me den algo a cambio sino como apreciacion por el trabajo de un usuario en algun post, pero si quieren algunos numeros les puedo decir que cada vez que utilizo la herramienta de propinas algun usuario (normalmente el mismo del post) se pasa por mi blog y hasta algunos consideran en dejar votos considerables en algunos de los comentarios que dejo, asi que puedes estar tranquilo de que hay algo de retribucion al igual que pasa con las recompensas de curacion.

Un punto aparte de todo es que dar propinas me ha impulsado de alguna forma a buscar post en la comunidad, leerlos, disfrutarlos sabiendo que si me gustan puedo retribuirles en agradecimiento, creo que es algo que puede motivar a los usuarios mas pequeños a crear comunidad y comentar mas seguido (organicamente) algunos de los post de la cadena, no es algo que necesariamente pase sino que es una experiencia renovadora que he vivido por estas ultimas semanas.

Conclusion

Dar propinas es bueno, en especial si eres un usuario pequeño, te permite conectar mucho mas con lo que estas leyendo y demostrar un aprecio mayor hacia tus escritores favoritos ademas de la posibilidad de que los demas usuarios giren la vista hacia tu propio blog. ya esta, eso es todo.

A couple of weeks after I started this personal challenge I come back with some very good results on a financial and emotional level! Hi! in case you don't know what I'm talking about a few posts back I proposed the thesis that users with a small voting power should stop giving votes and start leaving tips on posts that we like, I explained a bit that in my time on Hive I have never been able to express enough what I liked a post at least not with my current HP, so I asked myself **Why not use one of the tools of Peakd? ** the tipping tool is one that is practically new in the ecosystem and I hadn't seen many users using it so I decided to set a goal of one month giving tips every day to the posts I like the most, these are some of the results (and feelings) I've had along these 2 weeks.

First things first if you don't know the function I'm talking about or how to use it it's very simple, a great thing about peakd frontend, just go to the post you liked and look for the icon and click
, a window similar to the one below will appear where you will have to fill in the data of how much amount you want to leave in the post as well as the type of currency you want to use for this (I usually choose the HBD as it is the most stable)

Which posts do I like to tip?

I am someone who likes posts about video games, movies, books, what's going on in the network, but most of all I love posts that have a markdown format that are easy to read and interesting, the title as well as the cover image play a key role for me to even get into the post, I also use to explore a bit further the community to find some of those gems that the curators forgot and at least let them know that their content is great, posts about current events in my country as well as opinions about products that I'm interested in buying are also a must when it comes to tipping, I'm spreading myself a bit thin but in general I reward everything I already said although my tastes are constantly changing!

The power of appreciation

It' s amazing the conversations I've had just for the simple fact of leaving a tip on a post I've loved, usually I also comment on this kind of post but I don't expect a response and wow it's a surprise! when I get a response and especially with the good vibes of a well deserved tip, everything works better when creators are fairly rewarded and even if the curation projects do an excellent job to boost quality content there will always be those little fish who want to join in contributing to their favorite creators!

Is tipping profitable?

I ask this question considering that when a user votes, regardless that there are many factors that vary in the healing rewards system, in the end, the user will receive an amount in return for their contribution to the post, I turn this around a bit because I'm not tipping with the goal of getting something in return but as appreciation for a user's work on a post, but if you want some numbers I can tell you that every time I use the tipping tool some user (usually the same of the post) stops by my blog and even some consider leaving considerable votes in some of the comments I leave, so you can rest assured that there is some retribution just as it happens with the curation rewards.

A separate point of all is that tipping has somehow prompted me to look for posts in the community, read them, enjoy them knowing that if I like them I can repay them in appreciation, I think it is something that can motivate smaller users to create community and comment more often (organically) some of the posts in the chain, it is not something that necessarily happens but it is a renewing experience that I have lived for these last few weeks.

Conclusion

Tipping is good, especially if you are a small user, it allows you to connect much more with what you are reading and show a greater appreciation for your favorite writers as well as the possibility that other users turn their eyes towards your own blog. that's it, that's all.
