Cuando mis amiguis y yo éramos niñas, mamá, papá y adultos que formaban parte de mi familia, para controlarnos, siempre nos asustaban y metían miedo. De verdad, verdaita, que éramos terribles. Mis primos, hermanos, amigos conformábamos una tropa y era casi imposible agarrarnos. Brincábamos la cerca, corríamos y teníamos que esperar que se calmaran para aparecer. De nada valía decir: "Fue sin querer queriendo", porque ellos sabían de lo que eramos capaces. Entonces los adultos utilizaban muchos artificios para calmarnos y asustarnos.

En mi época existían muchas maneras que utilizaban y eran motivos de nuestros miedos: cucuco pitafo o duende, la mano pelúa, el tigre palenque, el diablo luis, la loca juanita mayo y los vampi de mami. Además, mami tenía otros trucos como el sartén, palo de escoba, chancla. Pero a veces nada de esto funcionaba. Así mismo, una gama de monstruos: el de la laguna negra, la momia y el señor que recogía latas que mi hermana llamaba cuando pasaba la calle y le decía:

“Llévese a esta muchachita porque se está portando mal.”

De todos estos, mi mayor terror era la mano pelúa, porque yo no sabía de dónde iba a salir y me iba a estrangular. Pero lo más peligroso es el dedo índice, pues es muy pequeñito, pero es capaz de causar estragos; con él se puede pulsar un botón y lanzar la bomba nuclear, de borrar toda la información en el computador y de perder la cuenta en #Hive y los pocos churupos, como decimos en Venezuela. Aunque no lo crean, vivo aterrada en el mundo virtual y la sola palabra hacker me devuelve a mi infancia cuando gritaban:

¡Cuidaó! Allí viene la mano pelúa

Me faltó decir que no llega solo; siempre anda acompañado del despistaó dedito índice; es un dúo mortífero. Este es capaz de todo, de señalar y acusar. En mi caso, no sé si a ustedes les pasa, este pequeño dedito tiene mente propia, es independiente y me ha causado muchos problemas.

En #Hive me han pasado muchas cosas, sin llegar a los extremos. Sin embargo, me ha dado un “soponcio” al estilo venezolano y he alterado mucho. Como por ejemplo, que he usado mi clave activa, “la chica Money”, y después voy al buscador de Google, y de repente mi dedito presiona al ratoncito, y ¡Zúas! por equivocación he pegado la la clave activa. Locura total, me entran los nervios y la ansiedad. Cuando esto sucede, no sé si es el ratón que de repente tiene vida propia, si es la mano pelúa o el dedito despitaó.

Vienen a mi mente los peores escenarios. ¡OMG! Ataque de las iguanas extraterrestres, zombis y mami con su ejército de sus monstruos. Y escucho a lo lejos al batallón gritando:

¡Cuidaó! Allí viene la mano pelúa

Lo más terrorífico que sucedió y una complicación muy grande que he tenido fue cuando se puso en auge la compra con HBD. Ya tenía Hivekeychain en mi laptop. Sin embargo, requería descargarla en el celular. Hice varios intentos y no pude acceder. Fue un total enredo cuando pulsé al despitaó o dedito índice para crear un PIN que se requería. De repente, el terror se apoderó de mí y dije:

¡OMG! Puedo comprometer a la “chica Money”. A la dueña de mis churupitos.

Volteé y vi a la mano pelúa y dije: "Esto no es conmigo". No volví a acceder a Hivekeychain desde el celular. No pude pagar con HBD y tampoco pude usar Distriator. A mí, cuando me piden mis claves, enseguida mi mente ve a la mano pelúa. Mi gente de Aliento, hay que amarrar a la mano peluá y a “despitaó” y como dice El Chapulín Colorado:

“¡Que no panda el cúnico!”

Recuerden que todo es en broma y nada en serio.

When my friends and I were little girls, Mom, Dad, and the other adults in my family always tried to scare us to keep us under control. Honestly, we were terrible. My cousins, siblings, and friends were like a pack, and it was almost impossible to catch us. We'd jump over fences, run around, and we'd have to wait for them to calm down before we could reappear. Saying "It was an accident" was no use because they knew what we were capable of. So the adults used all sorts of tricks to both calm us down and scare us.
In my day, there were many tricks that people used, and they were the source of our fears: the goblin, the hairy hand, the Palenque tiger, the devil Luis, crazy Juanita Mayo, and Mom's vampires. Mom also had other tricks, like using a frying pan, a broomstick, and a sandal. But sometimes none of it worked. Likewise, there was a whole range of monsters: the creature from the Black Lagoon, the mummy, and the man who collected cans, whom my sister would call out to when she crossed the street and say:
"Take this little girl away because she's misbehaving."
Of all of them, my greatest fear was the hairy hand, because I didn't know where it was going to come from and it was going to strangle me. But the most dangerous thing is the index finger, because it's so tiny, but it's capable of causing havoc; with it you can press a button and launch a nuclear bomb, erase all the information on the computer, and lose your account on #Hive and your few remaining coins, as we say in Venezuela. Believe it or not, I live in terror in the virtual world, and the mere word "hacker" takes me back to my childhood when they would shout:
"Watch out! Here comes the hairy hand!"
I forgot to mention that it doesn't come alone; it's always accompanied by my absent-minded index finger; it's a deadly duo. This little finger is capable of anything, from pointing fingers to accusing. In my case, I don't know if it happens to you, but this little finger has a mind of its own, it's independent, and it's caused me a lot of problems.
Many things have happened to me on #Hive, without going to extremes. However, I've had a Venezuelan-style meltdown and have been very upset. For example, I've used my active password, "la chica Money," and then I go to the Google search engine, and suddenly my finger clicks the mouse, and whoosh! I've accidentally typed in my active password. Total madness, I get nervous and anxious. When this happens, I don't know if it's the mouse that suddenly has a life of its own, if it's my hairy hand, or my absent-minded finger.
The worst scenarios flash through my mind. OMG! An attack by alien iguanas, zombies, and Mom with her army of monsters. And I hear the battalion yelling in the distance:
Watch out! Here comes the hairy hand!
The most terrifying thing that happened, and a huge complication I've had, was when buying with HBD became popular. I already had Hivekeychain on my laptop. However, I needed to download it to my phone. I tried several times and couldn't access it. It was a total mess when I pressed my index finger to create a required PIN. Suddenly, terror gripped me, and I said:
OMG! I could compromise "Money Girl." The owner of my cash.
I turned around and saw the hairy hand and said, "This isn't me." I never accessed Hivekeychain from my phone again. I couldn't pay with HBD, and I couldn't use Distriator either. Whenever someone asks for my passwords, my mind immediately goes to the hairy hand. My friends at Aliento, we have to tie up the hairy hand and the "clumsy one," and as El Chapulín Colorado says:
"Don't panic!"
Remember, it's all a joke, nothing serious.

Hablando en serio

Hay que tomar conciencia y prioridad a la seguridad en #Hive y en el mundo virtual porque en un segundo se puede perder todo, incluyendo la identidad. Esto no es solo importante para los nuevos dentro de la plataforma; es para también los viejitos porque “al mejor cazador se le va la liebre” y si se tiene un dedito índice “despistaó” como el de Mafa, es más peligroso aún.

Es por esta razón que hay que aprovechar las publicaciones con información relevante que algunas comunidades como Aliento hacen para tener a los usuarios informados, adquieran conocimientos y así minimicen los peligros dentro y fuera de #Hive. Paso a paso, con dedicación y estudiando, vamos aprendiendo un poco más sobre la manera de protegernos para no pasar un mal rato y perder los churupos. También es importante participar en talleres, spaces, dinámicas e iniciativas de Aliento.

Aprovechen la red de apoyo que brinda el proyecto Aliento. Siempre es bueno compartir y tener amigos, pues son los únicos que pueden ayudarnos ante un problema. El apoyarse unos a otros es muy importante y sobre todo el respeto. Iniciando mi vida en #Hive, me di un gran susto, pero gracias a mi red de apoyo y hermanas que la vida puso en mi camino y en #Hive Hive account@marybellrg y Hive account@elizabeths14, no pasó nada grave porque me abrieron los ojos a tiempo.

A ellas siempre van mis agradecimientos por haber estado a mi lado en los momentos difíciles y también por los buenos ratos juntas. Las tengo presentes siempre con mucho cariño y respeto. Mi gente de Aliento, les dejo algunos consejitos y espero los tomen en cuenta:

1.Mantenerse constantemente actualizado sobre las nuevas modalidades de robo.
