Hello everyone.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Muhammad Nur Satrio Maryanto. It's quite long, right? But don't worry, you can call me Tio. But my friends usually call me by two different nicknames, depending on where I am. If I'm in Central Java, I'm called Satrio. But if I'm in West Java, especially Jakarta, people feel more comfortable calling me Tio. The reason is simple but also a bit funny. In Jakarta, men are usually addressed with the greeting "Bang".
Now, just imagine if I'm still called Satrio there, "Bang Sat" sounds like "bastard" in other countries. Not quite the vibe I’d hope for. That's why to be safe and sound nice, I ended up being called Tio, "Bang Tio" to be more polite and pleasant to the ear. :D
I am the second child of two siblings. I was born in "Timor Leste" and grew up in Indonesia. How did that happen? Well, at that time Timor Leste was still part of Indonesia, but due to a conflict, Timor Leste eventually declared its own independence. Because of that event, I couldn't go back home. But by the time that happened, I was already living in Yogyakarta and eventually became a citizen of Yogyakarta.
After years of living in Yogyakarta, I decided to out and work in Jakarta. I gained a lot of experiences there, from working in a fast-paced environment, meeting various people, to finally deciding to resign. The reasons? A mix of things. There are personal matters that can’t be briefly explained, but essentially, I wanted to return to something calmer and closer to myself.
Outside of work, I have a few hobbies that are considered quite "geeky" by some. I really enjoy building Gundam models there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing the small parts come together into one cool unit.
I also play games to relieve stress. Additionally, I enjoy reading comics and novels, especially in the fantasy or sci-fi genres. Exploring food and traveling are also favorite activities whenever I have free time (and of course, funds, hehe).
I created this account as a space for storytelling. A place to share thoughts, experiences, and perhaps a little unease. Who knows, among these writing, there might be something that resonates with you. Thank you for reading, and nice to meet you all. _
