Hola comunidad,
Nunca es fácil escribir sobre uno mismo. Podemos redactar artículos técnicos, hilos educativos o explicar cómo funciona un protocolo DeFi... pero cuando toca hablar desde el corazón, el teclado se vuelve un poco más pesado.
Mi nombre es Héctor Navas, soy ecuatoriano, y me dedico a lo que amo: soy Director de Arte con una carrera sólida en marketing y publicidad. También soy fotógrafo, porque aprendí desde pequeño que hay historias que solo la luz puede contar.
Desde niño tuve una conexión especial con la tecnología. Recuerdo con claridad el sonido de los disquetes, el encanto misterioso de las líneas en MS-DOS, y la emoción de ver cómo el mundo cambiaba con la llegada del internet. Esa sensibilidad me permitió desarrollar un radar afinado para detectar las revoluciones antes de que se vuelvan obvias. Así fue como me encontré con Bitcoin y la blockchain.

Hello, community,
Writing about oneself is never easy. We can craft technical articles, educational threads, or explain how a DeFi protocol works... but when it comes to writing from the heart, the keyboard tends to get heavier.
My name is Héctor Navas, I'm from Ecuador, and I do what I love: I'm an Art Director with a solid career in marketing and advertising. I'm also a photographer, because I learned early on that some stories can only be told through light.
Since I was a kid, I had a special bond with technology. I clearly remember the sound of floppy disks, the mysterious charm of MS-DOS lines, and the thrill of watching the world change with the rise of the internet. That sensitivity helped me develop a sharp radar for spotting revolutions before they become obvious. That's how I discovered Bitcoin and blockchain.
Del branding al voluntariado cripto
Podría decir que fue curiosidad, pero la verdad es que fue pasión. Pasé años estudiando la tecnología, entendiendo no solo su estructura, sino su poder transformador. Sin embargo, no fue hasta hace unos cuatro años que descubrí lo que realmente me movía: compartir ese conocimiento.
Entrar a comunidades cripto cambió mi enfoque. Me di cuenta de que, más allá de los gráficos y los contratos inteligentes, había algo aún más valioso: las personas. La oportunidad de educar, de ayudar a otros a evitar estafas, de guiar y construir comunidad. Así llegué a Binance, lugar en el que tengo el honor de ser parte del programa de voluntarios Binance Angels, un equipo con el que compartimos una misión: enseñar, acompañar y construir puentes en el mundo cripto. Gracias a este voluntariado he tenido el privilegio de conocer personas de muchos países, todas con un talento increíble para expandir conocimiento y generar impacto real en sus comunidades.
Pero uno no deja de evolucionar. Y en ese camino de reinvención, combiné todo lo que sabía sobre branding y narrativa visual para crear contenido educativo que no solo informe, sino que inspire. Actualmente comparto contenido en Binance Square y X, pero soy de los que creen que el conocimiento debe ser libre, expansivo, y estar en todas las plataformas donde pueda sembrar curiosidad.
Y como suele suceder cuando estamos en sintonía con lo que amamos, la vida nos pone en el camino nuevas puertas por abrir...

From Branding to Crypto Volunteering
I could say it started with curiosity, but the truth is—it was passion. I spent years studying the technology, not only understanding its structure but its transformative power. Still, it wasn’t until about four years ago that I discovered what truly moved me: sharing that knowledge.
Joining crypto communities changed my focus. I realized that beyond charts and smart contracts, the most valuable asset is people. The chance to educate, to help others avoid scams, to guide and build community. That led me to Binance, where I’m proud to be part of the Binance Angels volunteer program—an amazing group with whom I share a mission: to teach, support, and build bridges in the crypto space. Thanks to this role, I’ve had the privilege of meeting people from many countries, all with incredible talent for spreading knowledge and making real impact in their communities.
But we never stop evolving. Along that path of reinvention, I brought together everything I knew about branding and storytelling to create educational content that not only informs but inspires. I currently share content on Binance Square and X, but I firmly believe that knowledge should be free, expansive, and present on every platform where curiosity can grow.
And as often happens when we align with what we love, life opens new doors...
