Hola Hive, mi nombre es Wendy Rodríguez Murguía. Tengo 26 años, nací el 23 de diciembre de 1995 en la provincia más occidental de Cuba, Pinar del Río.
Hello Hive, my name is Wendy Rodríguez Murguía. I am 26 years old, I was born on December 23, 1995 in the westernmost province of Cuba, Pinar del Río.
Actualmente soy profesora de la Universidad de Pinar del Río, donde imparto Inglés en la carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras. De pequeña deseaba ser pintora de mayor, pero mi pasión y amor por los idiomas, especialmente el inglés, venció y soy muy feliz enseñando este idioma a otras personas.
I am currently a professor at the University of Pinar del Río, where I teach English in the Foreign Languages degree. As a child I wanted to be a painter when I grew up, but my passion and love for languages, especially English, won out and I am very happy teaching this language to other people.
Crecí en una casa colonial muy grande ubicada en el casco urbano de la ciudad,solo a una calle de la calle principal. Tuve una infancia muy feliz y aunque siempre viví con mi mamá, pues al nacer mis padres ya estaban divorciados, nunca me faltó el amor y la presencia de mi papá, ya que él y mi mamá se llevan muy bien, son más que amigos, son como hermanos y eso me encanta y sigue hasta día de hoy.
Tengo un hermano por parte de madre y 3 primos. Yo soy la mayor de todos ellos, aunque me superan en estatura ya que solo mido 1.55 m. Por parte de padre tengo 3 primos y una prima. Los amo a todos, así como a mis tías en ambas partes.
I grew up in a very large colonial house located in the urban center of the city, just one block from the main street. I had a very happy childhood and although I always lived with my mother, because when I was born my parents were already divorced, I never lacked the love and presence of my father, since he and my mother get along very well, they are more than friends, they are like brothers and I love that and continue to this day.
I have a brother on my mother's side and 3 male cousins. I am the oldest of all of them, although they are taller than me since I am only 1.55 m tall. On my father's side I have 3 male cousins and a female cousin. I love you all, as well as my aunts on both sides.
Mi color preferido es el rojo, aunque me identifico mucho con el negro. Me encanta escuchar música en inglés, de diferentes géneros y me gustan muchos cantantes, si tuviera que elegir a uno ahora mismo diría Avril Lavigne porque me encanta la música de rock. Soy fan de ver series y películas. Mi serie preferida es Friends, hasta me hice un tatuaje en su honor. Entre mis películas preferidas están Back to the Future, Hocus Pocus y Harry Potter, pero también me gustan las comedias románticas y de vez en cuando me gusta sobresaltarme con una de terror.
My favorite color is red, although I identify a lot with black. I love listening to music in English, from different genres and I like many singers, if I had to choose one right now I would say Avril Lavigne because I love rock music. I am a fan of watching series and movies. My favorite series is Friends, I even got a tattoo in its honor. My favorite movies include Back to the Future, Hocus Pocus and Harry Potter, but I also like romantic comedies and every now and then I like to be startled by a horror one.
Desde chiquita siempre vi muchas películas que me hicieron creer en el amor y querer eso para mí. Luego de 2 relaciones sin éxito pensé que nunca iba a saber que era estar enamorada y que lo que veía en las películas era solo fantasía, hasta que conocí al amor de mi vida en una cita a ciegas orquestada por una amiga en común. Desde que empezamos a conocernos supe que era un chico diferente al resto y muy parecido a mí. Poco a poco la relación evolucionó y obviamente me enamoré perdidamente de él. A día de hoy llevamos juntos 7 años y 9 meses y puedo decir que me enseñó que el amor verdadero si existe. Hace 2 meses nos casamos y pasamos nuestra luna de miel en Varadero y han sido los días más felices de mi vida.
Since I was a little girl I always saw many movies that made me believe in love and want that for myself. After 2 unsuccessful relationships I thought I would never know what it was to be in love and that what I saw in the movies was just fantasy, until I met the love of my life on a blind date orchestrated by a mutual friend. Since we began to know each other I knew that he was a different boy from the rest and very similar to me. Little by little the relationship evolved and obviously I fell madly in love with him. Today we have been together for 7 years and 9 months and I can say that he taught me that true love does exist. Two months ago we got married and spent our honeymoon in Varadero and they have been the happiest days of my life.
