La Casa del Dragón
En estos días comencé, junto a mi pareja, a ver los capítulos de la Casa del Dragón (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_casa_del_drag%C3%B3n)... A ella le gusta mucho. Yo vi Juego de Tronos porque había leído los libros y me llamaba la atención ver cómo los llevaban al formato televisivo. Creo que la ciencia ficción y la aventura fantástica son de mis géneros favoritos en cuanto a libros y películas.
Normalmente en este tipo de series hay un (o unos) héroe(s) y un (o unos) villanos, en la literatura de este género de hace unos años para atrás, digamos unos 30 años, los héroes eran personajes virtuosos, las situaciones eran de suspenso, con frecuencia en estos géneros los malos eran algún tipo de monstruo junto con algún humano codicioso o algo similar.
Al mismo tiempo estamos viendo Los Anillos de Poder (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Se%C3%B1or_de_los_Anillos:_los_Anillos_de_Poder) que vino luego del señor de los anillos y que de igual manera comencé a verlos luego de haber leído los libros.
La Casa del Dragón y Los Anillos del Poder tienen muchas similitudes, la fantasía, la ambientación, el tipo de “Época”, etc. Tienen sus héroes (aunque todavía no se quienes son los héroes en La Casa del Dragón) y tienen sus villanos, tienen guerra, tienen suspenso, etc. Pero también tienen sus diferencias: en los anillos de poder no hay tanto amarillismo, no hay escenas sexuales, no hay vísceras saliendo de las personas o empalamientos, etc… Adicionalmente, la trama en Los Anillos del Poder, es mucho más lenta, mi novia se queda dormida… imagínense si la invito a ver Lo que el Viento se Llevó.
La Casa del Dragón me hace recordar a otra serie que vi por petición de mi novia llamada TheBoyz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boys_(TV_series)) muchas vísceras, mucha traición, mucha gente confundida, mucha ambición, mucha acción, y los buenos no son tan buenos…
En Juego de Tronos creo que el héroe resultó siendo John Snow, un bastardo, que toda su vida estuvo a la sombra de los hijos legítimos de su padre. Creo que otro de los héroes terminó siendo Tyrion Lannister, un enano, amargado por su condición que sufrié las vejaciones y el rechazo de su familia. Y claro Daenerys Targarien, heredera del Trono, que fué vendida como esclava, violada, etc, Daenerys pero al final dejó ver que era una Tirana,y es asesinada por quien la amaba, John Snow... Esos son los buenos...
Eso está bien? Si eres un personaje normal, entonces debes esta en el bando de los malos. Si quieres están en el lado de los buenos, debes haber sufrido primero…
La Virtud
Todo esto me hace reflexionar. En primer lugar, está el tema de la inyección de placer inmediata, todo tiene que ser rápido, y muy emocionante, ocurrió el chorro de emoción, ¿y luego qué? ¿Hubo satisfacción? ¿Y se requiere de otro chorro de emoción?
Al parecer algo similar ocurre con los “Likes” de las redes sociales, funciona en un sinfín de chorritos de emoción tanto de quien da el Like como de quien lo recibe, y entonces viven en un ciclo infinito de búsqueda del Like… Placer tras placer de forma compulsiva y corta. Ya hay personas adictas a esto, al parecer el tema del Like funciona con el mismo mecanismo psicológico que cualquier otra adicción.
Los libros han sido reducidos sistemáticamente, y su contenido se ha simplificado notablemente. Las personas buscan el menor esfuerzo en el procesamiento de la información, los libros de autoayuda son básicamente un manual de instrucciones de un problema que rara vez (para el consumidor del libro) ha sido adecuadamente diagnosticado, y por supuesto no será efectivamente tratado. Pero es rápido y es simple…
Con la música el fenómeno ha alcanzado otro nivel, ni que lo vea como lo vea logro entender como pasó la humanidad de Bath, Mozart y Rachmaninoff a DadyYankee, Arcangel y sus semejantes.
La decadencia de la música actual (la más popular), en todos los aspectos involucrados en la composición de una pieza musical, es, desde mi punto de vista, catastrófica. La melodía y el ritmo y la cantidad de músicos en la pieza se ha simplificado abismalmente, pero lo que ha ocurrido con las letras es otra cosa. Las letras son una depravación, una consecución de inmoralidades y sin sentidos. A menos así es en la cultura latinoamericana, desconozco si en las otras partes del mundo es así, pero no me extrañaría que así fuera.
Lo que define un clásico es que es algo que transciende el tiempo, que es apreciado por las personas de todas las épocas. Hoy en día, me atrevo a decir que, en su mayoría, los libros, piezas musicales, arte gráfico, etc que más aprecia el público general son productos desechables, no tendrán vigencia más allá de unos meses, y me atrevería a decir que ni sus autores ni sus consumidores esperan que sea de otro modo.
Mención especial hago para los NFT de los “BoredApes” (https://www.nft-stats.com/collection/boredapeyachtclub), que adicional a todo lo ya mencionado, llegan a costar varios cientos de miles de dólares. Esto es lo que valoran las personas actualmente y esa es la magnitud de su valor.
¿Hay cabida hoy para la virtud y el virtuosismo?
La humanidad
Yo creo que todo el mundo debe ser libre de pensar como quiera y consumir lo que quiera. No es una crítica lo que hago, me preocupa lo que veo. Yo tengo 2 hijas, una de 8 y una de 12. Igual que todos los niños están siendo absorbidas por las redes sociales y el metaverso. Yo trato de que ellas tengan una actitud crítica ante todo (a veces como que se me pasa la mano), y les pregunto: si todos en su generación se vuelven, YouTubers, Influencers y Tiktokers, y llegan a una fiesta de gente exitosa, donde todos se desarrollan en algo similar, y le ocurre un problema de salud a alguien en la fiesta, y resultó ser que no hay un médico porque todos son Tiktokers, ¿que harán? ¿Bailarán todos a su alrededor cual médicos brujos?.
Cuando la crisis de Covid-19 estaba en pleno apogeo en España vi una entrevista que le hacían a una Doctora en un hosptial colapsado, y la señora decía que si hubiesen tenido el sueldo de Messi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Messi) de un año, hubienes salvado muchas vidas más... No tengo nada contra Messi, me parece un excelente jugador y me gusta el Futbol, pero creo que esto ilustra el desbalance y el sin sentido entre lo que valora la sociedad de hoy en día.
Esta generación ha conseguido ya todo hecho, no me parece que se pregunten cómo es que llegaron los productos al anaquel del supermerdado, ni que les importe mucho, simplemente siempre han estado allí. Se preocupan por el Like y lel protagonismo.
Para completar el panorama, el planeta esta cambiando drásticamente requiriendo mucho pensamiento para resolver la situación, los efectos del cambio climático ya son más que evidentes, el coronavirus sigue allí y seguro tendrá un sucesor.
Adicionalmente, de vez en cuando ocurren cosas tan bizarras como que el exministro de defensa de Israel o de Canadá declararon que en la tierra hay una “Confederación de Razas Alienígenas” (quien sabe si esto es verdad, pero es igual de bizarro)

Y mientras tanto, la generación de relevo baila en TikTok.
Hay una campaña mundial de descrédito hacia la humanidad. Haciéndole pensar a al público que la humanidad es lo peor que le ha pasado a la humanidad. A tales puntos que si usted toma una persona joven y le da a escoger entre adoptar un perro o un niño, cuál cree que sea la respuesta? ¿Y cuál será el porqué de esto?
Es cierto que la humanidad ha cometido errores, pero la humanidad también tiene méritos increíbles. Las más grandes obras de arte no fueron creadas por perros o BoredApes (con el perdón de los perros y los Apes). Todos los avances científicos que han permitido prolongar la vida y mejorar las condiciones de vida de la humanidad en general la produjeron los humanos. Y son los humanos quienes están produciendo soluciones para los errores cometidos, nuevas fuentes de energía, reducción de la contaminación, etc…
¿Será que hay humanos buenos y malos? ¿Por qué quienes venden y producen el arte que se consume no producen y venden arte que te dé más que solo un momento de satisfacción? ¿Por qué quien consume este arte no busca algo que los llene más y mejor?
¿Por qué la humidad se aleja de la virtud y abraza el vicio? ¿Por qué se aleja de lo complejo y abraza lo banal?

The House of the Dragon
In these days I began, together with my couple, to see the chapters of the House of the Dragon (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_casa_del_drag%C3%B3n)... She likes it very much. I watched Game of Thrones because I had read the books and it struck me to see how they would bring it to the television format. I think science fiction and fantasy adventure are my favorite genres in terms of books and movies.
Normally in this type of series there is a (or some) hero (s) and a (or some) villains, in the literature of this genre from a few years ago, let's say about 30 years ago, the heroes were virtuous characters, the situations were suspenseful, often in these genres the bad guys were some kind of monster along with some greedy human or something similar.
At the same time, we are seeing The Rings of Power (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Se%C3%B1or_de_los_Anillos:_los_Anillos_de_Poder) that came after the Lord of the Rings and that in the same way I began to see them after having read the books.
The House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power have many similarities, the fantasy, the setting, the type of "Era", etc. They have their heroes (although I still don't know who the heroes are in The House of the Dragon) and they have their villains, they have war, they have suspense, etc. But they also have their differences: in the rings of power there is not so much sensationalism, there are no sexual scenes, there are no guts coming out of people or impalements, etc ... Additionally, the rhythm in The Rings of Power is much slower, my girlfriend falls asleep... imagine if I invite her to see Gone with the Wind.
The House of the Dragon reminds me of another series that I saw at the request of my girlfriend called The Boys (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boys_(TV_series)) many guts, a lot of betrayal, many confused people, a lot of ambition, a lot of action, and the good ones are not so good ...
In Game of Thrones I think the hero turned out to be John Snow, a bastard, who all his life was in the shadow of his father's legitimate children. I think another of the heroes ended up being Tyrion Lannister, a dwarf, embittered by his condition that suffered the humiliations and rejection of his family. With music the phenomenon has reached another level, no matter how I see it, I cannot manage to understand how the humanity came from Bath, Mozart and Rachmaninoff to DadyYankee, Arcangel and their peers.

Humanity
I believe that everyone should be free to think as they want and consume what they want. It's not a criticism of that what I do, I'm worried about what I see. I have 2 daughters, one of 8 and one of 12. Just like any children are being absorbed by social media and the metaverse. I try to make them have a critical attitude (sometimes it think of goes out of my hand), and I ask them: if everyone in their generation becomes, YouTubers, Influencers and Tiktokers, and they arrive at a party of successful people, where everyone developed into something similar, and a health problem happens to someone at the party, and it happens that there is no doctor because they are all Tiktokers, what will they do? Will everyone dance around the sock one like chaman doctors?
When the Covid-19 crisis was in full in Spain I saw an interview with a doctor in a collapsed hospital, and the lady said that if they had had Messi's salary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Messi) of one year, they would have saved many more lives... I have nothing against Messi, I think he is an excellent player and I like football soccer, but I think this illustrates the imbalance and the nonsense between what society values today.
This generation has already found everything done, I do not think they are wondering how the products arrived at the shelf of the supermarket, or that they care too much about it, they have simply always been there. They care about the Like and the protagonism.

There is a worldwide campaign of discredit towards humanity. Making the public think that humanity is the worst thing that has ever happened to humanity. To such an extent that if you take a young person and give them a choice between adopting a dog or a child, what do you think the answer is? And what will be the reason for this?
It is true that humanity has made mistakes, but humanity also has incredible merits. The greatest works of art were not created by dogs or Bored Apes (with the forgiveness of dogs and Apes). All the scientific advances that have made it possible to prolong life and improve the living conditions of humanity in general were produced by humans. And it is humans who are producing solutions for mistakes made, new sources of energy, pollution reduction, etc ...
Could it be that there are good and bad humans? Why don't those who sell and produce the art that is consumed produce and sell art that gives you more than just a shot of satisfaction? Why doesn't those who consume this art look for something that fills them more and better?
Why does humility move away from virtue and embrace vice? Why does it move away from the complex and embrace the banal?
