Saludos, estimados amigos. Hoy les voy a realizar otro reporte sobre la salud de nuestra Baby Bee. Como les mencioné anteriormente, la pequeña presentó molestias gastrointestinales, producto de los antibióticos y la fórmula láctea que le suministraron en la clínica. Conforme iba pasando el tiempo, se le realizaron varios exámenes de heces para ver cómo iba la evolución y hacerle seguimiento al tratamiento indicado, el cual consistía en probióticos para regular la flora intestinal.

Greetings, dear friends. Today I am going to give you another report on the health of our Bee Baby. As I mentioned before, the little one presented gastrointestinal discomfort, product of the antibiotics and the formula she was given at the clinic. As time went by, she underwent several stool tests to see how she was progressing and to follow up on the indicated treatment, which consisted of probiotics to regulate the intestinal flora.

Mi esposo y yo estábamos pendiente de las evacuaciones de Alma, puesto que cambiaron su consistencia, lucían elásticas, lo que definitivamente no era una buena señal. Consultamos con la pediatra y ella sugirió hacer una prueba más avanzada, denominada Coprocultivo, una vez que se tomara la muestra de heces, el análisis duraba cinco días para verificar si existían bacterias. Las noches se hacían eternas, pues la bebé no descansaba debido al malestar, estaba irritable y quería permanecer en brazos a toda hora. Esos días fueron agotadores.

My husband and I were keeping an eye on Alma's bowel movements, since they changed their consistency, they now looked rubbery, which was definitely not a good sign. We consulted with the pediatrician and she suggested doing a more advanced test, called a stool culture, once the stool test was taken, the analysis lasted five days to verify if bacteria were proliferating. The nights were endless, as the baby did not rest due to the discomfort with the gas. She was irritable and wanted to stay in my arms at all hours. Those days were exhausting.

A veces, la espera puede estresarnos, pero aguardamos pacientemente para conocer los resultados. Pasado el tiempo indicado, fuimos a buscarlos. De inmediato, se los envié a la pediatra y al neurocirujano vía Whatsapp. El día lunes nos atendió la doctora y nos dijo que la prueba salió negativa a bacterias, hongos y cualquier infección. Sentí un gran alivio. Posteriormente, la examinó y le realizó varios ejercicios. En una consulta anterior, el neurocirujano le había hecho una orden para el Centro de Desarrollo Infantil, pronto les cuento cómo nos ha ido.

Sometimes the wait can be stressful, but we had to wait patiently for the results. After the indicated time had passed, we went to get them. I immediately sent them to the pediatrician and the neurosurgeon via Whatsapp. On Monday, the doctor saw us and told us that the test was negative. I felt a great relief. Afterwards, she examined her and performed several exercises. In a previous consultation, the neurosurgeon had made an order for the Child Development Center, soon I will tell you how it went.

La pediatra encontró a la pequeña muy bien, ha mejorado en todos los sentidos. El tratamiento funcionó, se reguló su flora intestinal. El diámetro de su cabeza aumentó, al igual que su estatura (mide 60 cm). Ella es de contextura delgada y actualmente pesa 4,8 kg. Está más despierta y su cabello ya empezó a crecerle, le mandaron a comprar un champú especial para bebés y así evitar la resequedad. También debemos adquirir algunos juguetes y móviles para la estimulación temprana. Hay que hacerle muchos ejercicios en casa y luego asistir a la rehabilitación. Actualmente, nos concentramos en eso.

The pediatrician found the little one very well, she has improved in every way. The treatment worked, her flora was regulated. The diameter of her head increased, as well as her height (she is 60cm). She is of slim build and currently weighs 4.8 kg. She is more alert and her hair has started to grow, she was sent to buy a special baby shampoo to avoid dryness. We also have to buy some toys and mobiles for early stimulation. We have to do a lot of exercises at home and go to rehab.Currently, we are concentrating on that.
