The world can look quite different up close, from insects to plants to every day items. As we peer into the world of macro photography details show up otherwise unseen. For some its a world they love to explore, and for others they are completely unaware of the micro world. I have myself a macro lens, and have had a lot of fun using it with my infrared, ultraviolet and visual light photography. Today I checked out some others posts about macro photography and have a few I want to share in my weekly picks.

A small butterfly is seen up close, being a monomad post is it in black and white. But you can still see many of the details in monochrome. I think this is the same butterfly that tends to lay eggs on my Kale, but not completely sure. In the next post below, their friend joins them in a journey out into the wild to capture more macro photos together.

In this post we get to see a hive blogger following another minnow around in the forest. They are collecting images of mushrooms up close. Its great to see a third person view of the captures and how its all done. Great collaborative post between two Hive users.

Taking pictures of insects is one thing, but its another to have them on your hand while doing the captures. We get to see a shiny beetle walk around this minnows hand as they take pictures. It is some kind of metallic colored bug and quite an interesting sight.

Capturing photos of mushrooms is a time sensitive project. We get to see one unfurl, open up wide and then start to decompose and sag over. This can happen in a single day in many cases. Great to see they were in the right place at the right time to capture the mushrooms cycle.
I got a new lens, and I love it! by

This user got themselves a new lens for their camera, and took some pictures to see how well it performed. They love it! And I agree it looks like it took some nice captures. In this post they also discuss some of the features of this new lens and what settings they have found to work best.
It was really great seeing others macro photography shots, makes me want to grab my camera and go capture some more of my own! Until then happy to share others photography that I appreciate.
