If we are to look at Smeagol's love for his precious in the movie, Lord of the Rings, we will get to understand a lot in life.
There are some rules that shouldn't be let off in our life practice as holding on to such rules will help shape us and pave a better way for us.
Just like the Golden Rule, which says;
I do believe life will be better if most of us can hold on and make this rule our life practices. Doing exactly to others what would make us smile is one way to live life peacefully.
As humans, we all know what is right. Even someone who has lost his or her sanity has feelings. People who do bad know exactly what they are doing, but their conscience, which is meant to judge them, isn't active. They have deactivated it with their greed and lustful desires for material things.
Going with the Hive naija prompt for this week, I have to admit the aforementioned quote used always resonates with me. It is a quote that has gotten stuck in my mind for ages, reminding me of each action I carry out and the consequences they will bring.
I know deeply that I have a kind heart. I don't need to be told. I have acted in some ways that when I reflect on my actions toward people I relate with, or strangers I have met with, I am always left with smiles, and that is fulfilling for me.
I believe in Karma, and that is why I am always careful of my thoughts and actions to people. I always try my very best not to judge people either with my words, thoughts or action as I believe no one has it best in life.
In life, there's nothing like if it were me because you'll be surprised by your actions when it ends up being you. Just right then, you will get to understand the significance of your actions in life. This is why mocking people for their actions in life isn't right, but learning from such actions makes life more meaningful.
I have met a lot of people in life, some who I grew up with and still talk to and others who I have let go, vice versa. Some people I have met have added positive values to my growth while others, the opposite, but I have learned from them too.
Although it is quite painful seeing how some who I have helped act out and if I am to look at their actions towards my kind heart, I won't bring out my hands to help others, but... That's not who I am. I have always made sure not to use another person's negative action toward my help to them to look at or treat others who may come with that same request. It is not like I can not, but I would rather not because of my belief in the aforementioned quote.
I would rather do things I will be proud of that whenever I am alone in my room with my eyes staring at the ceiling, I'll smile, giggle and laugh with happy tears and a proud smirk on my lips than do the opposite. We all know what is right. Being good won't take our happiness away. Instead, it multiplies it, and I love being happy. I have been through so much in life that happiness is a real deal to me.
If it were you, would you let the actions of others judge your actions toward other people?
Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
