The year 2023 is coming to an end, a lot of things happened, both good and bad but I am glad I will be ending it in good health and happiness.
You must be wondering why I said this when there are still 13 more days left for the year to end and anything can still happen, well it is a declaration that I am going to end the year happy and in good health, we should prophesize what is good into our own life and it will be as we wish!.
One thing I learned is that minding one's own business brings nothing but peace of mind and saves you from a lot of trouble.
Sometime last week, I was going to submit a file to our course advisor like all other students in my department when I witnessed a scene.
This man in his late 30s called a girl who was on her way to submit her files too but the girl did not answer him, the man shouted at her to come but the girl refused, I was already getting infuriated with the scene like why shouting at the girl when she is not interested in whatever you have to say, 20 minutes later, the man stormed into our class advisor office to tell him a girl was rude to him and he is going to discipline her.
It was at this moment it dawned on us that the man was a lecturer and not a student as some of us had thought, the class advisor told the girl to go and beg him and she left, I did not know what happened after that since she went to meet him in another office.
One would have thought the story ended there but no! Something unexpected happened last week because that same man was introduced to us as the lecturer who would be taking us a computer course[Intro to Internet].
I was just thanking my star that I did not interfere in the dispute between her and the girl the other day because I wanted to tell him to chill and leave the girl since she was not interested in what he had to say and these lecturers do not forgive, I can not imagine having a carryover in his course for putting mouth in what does not concern me lol.
The fact I was not quick to react nor meddle in their matter saves me from being a target but then I did the right thing not interfering, assuming it was a case of harassment that involved physical abuse like dragging, I definitely would have interfered.
We should all learn to be slow to react in cases like this to avoid damages that would cost us a lot later, but we must never take in people's nonsense just because we want peace to reign, act at the right time not before or after!.
