According to the story in the bible, good Friday is the day Jesus died.
So I believed it should still stand as a memorial in the christiandom. It is a very important day in the Christian calendar as it often mark the crucifixion and death of Christ,
waiting for his rising on the third day.
However, in honour of this, Christians fix programmes and church activities in order to make sure this day is still remembered and honoured.
To me, I still see it as a day for personal reflection in my quiet places, cause I believed I need to prepare for the Christ that will rise on the third day. So I can get my full package.
In honour of this, our church fixed a convention. This convention is mainly for hearing the word and worshipping God, in his holiness by singing Hymes.
This programme however, create that atmosphere of remembrance of the love Christ had for us that he accepted to die for the redemption of our soul.
This activity triggers our love for him, because tell me what manner of love, that God had to day down his son because of the sin we committed, inorder for us to be free.
I don't know if anyone has thought of this day like this.
